agreed.
I still like Yellowstone. You are correct in that 1883 is significantly better though.
1883 is molded in the lonesome dove model.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 5:43 pm Such totally different shows.
Yellowstone is like a cowboy version of Sons of Anarchy. 1883 is bssically a long movie.
That's sort of what I was thinking. Lonesome dove / gone with the wind type style.TDub wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 6:30 pm1883 is molded in the lonesome dove model.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 5:43 pm Such totally different shows.

it's not as good as lonesome dove.....but nothing is really.
I think it’s significantly funnier.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:14 am I started sopranos about a week or so ago. Had seen a few random edisodes in college because my roommates watched it but never from start to finish.
It's not The Wire good, but still very good.
Some seasons of the wire are funnier than others depending on which characters are the focus of that season. McNulty and Bunk were hilarious together.jfish26 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:59 amI think it’s significantly funnier.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:14 am I started sopranos about a week or so ago. I'm not even fully sure it's well-acted - meaning, Pattinson's character is just a blob of sadness, moves so slowly when he's not in the Batsuit. Catwoman does well and she's a smoke show. I didn't realize Collin Ferrell was the Penguin - he might have been the best of the bunch.
was not a fan at all…in fact, i quit watching maybe 2/3 of the way throughpdub wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:27 amI'm not even fully sure it's well-acted - meaning, Pattinson's character is just a blob of sadness, moves so slowly when he's not in the Batsuit. The story was interesting and I'm glad they didn't re-do the origin all the way from the start again but Nolan's take, along with Bale's Bruce Wayne, was just far better.
Overlander's official title in the Empire is "Sergeant in Charge of the Booze".jhawks99 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:01 am Sci-Fi day on TCM

it's sent me into a trip down Nas memory lane. I may have underrated his talent for years. Always liked him but don't think I apprioriately appreciated just how good he is.KUTradition wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:22 amright? we were loving it too
