But Popp should and will go down as the better coach.
I am loathe to say this out loud, but: Quin is going to finish his career shockingly high on the all-time list.

I saw a quote from Bilas the other day where he said that Quin is the greatest basketball mind he's ever met.

Let's act like this is true, which means that mizzou can drag down everything and everyone.

Brad Stevens
Didn't he quit coaching?
Yes.

He has 354 wins. 6 years younger than Spoelstra.

Wasn't his fault they lost but.....
The team I thought was going to win the championship is not even the 10th seed in the West right now.
What odds would/could I have gotten before the season started that they would be 15 games under .500 on April 2nd?

Bron is 4th in PER.
Behind Joker, Giannis and Embiid.
Russ is 150th.
Behind Oubre and Carmelo Anthony.

Westbrook has the 4th highest salary in the NBA.

That's insane. I know a lot has to do with timing, and in 6 months he probably won't even be top 10.

Such a double edged sword with him. He's really good so you've almost got to pay him (at the time he signed that contract at least)...but he's not good enough to be option 1 on a championship caliber team (especially not now). But when your 3rd option is paid that much it is impossible to have very good rotation players in spots 4 thru 10.

Especially when your third option isn’t playing like a top 90 player.

It also doesn't help when your 1st and 2nd option haven't played together much the last 2 months becuase they are both hurt off and on.

They got their championship. I don't think they'll get anymore anytime soon. Not a knock on them, but it's almost impossible to build sustainable success/rosters with only high dollar free agent signings. It can work that way for 2 3 4 maybe 5 years...but eventually not having younger cheaper talent becomes hard to overcome.

Westbrook shoots as many times as two first tier players. He can't do enough to conceal his weaknesses.

Is AD still tier 1? Guess it depends how many guys you're putting in tier 1. Crazy how deep the NBA is right now.

If fully healthy, for sure.
But that’s looking like that won’t happen anytime soon.

If tier 1 is 10 guys does AD make it for you? If it's 20 guys then he's definitely in for me.

Once I start naming guys it gets difficult.

I feel like top 4 are: Embiid Jokic Giannis KD (in no particular order).

Then it starts getting tougher.

Those guys plus:

LeBron.
Luka.
Steph.
AD ( if healthy ).
Morant.
Booker.

Others considered:
Buckets, Tatum, Leonard ( if healthy ), DeRozan, Trae Young, Gobert, Chris Paul.

Harden (not my fave but if you're considering Gobert then he's got to be on there).

Donovan Mitchell too?

I think we are all minimizing how difficult it is to hit a pressure 3 when one of your eyes are on the exit door
