I have little doubt that is a PART of the "indictment situation" but if the man is guilty of what he is being accused of and he truly broke the law/s, then his name should be smeared and his time should be taken away from resources and campaigning.
A good way for a once-and-hopefully-future president to have all the time and money he wants for campaigning, would be to not go on a multi-jurisdictional, multi-faceted crime spree after losing reelection but before he's even out the door.

Yeah, one of the deadliest pandemics in modern history sure was something dumb to freak out about. My bad. Yeah, yeah, we know, "fatties and old folks would have died eventually anyways, how dare you make me wear a mask to the grocery store!"

Fuck you.

We've already lost > 1,000,000 Americans to Covid, and now physicians and other health care workers are retiring early and leaving the profession in droves partially because ignorant selfish pricks like you didn't care enough about them or other people enough to do what you could to try and keep from overwhelming our health care system like it was. Arguing and trying to reason with stupid know-nothings like you has drained a lot of the altruism from them, so why should they stick around for the next pandemic to face yet another tsunami of insults and lack of consideration for how they're willing to put their lives on the line for people too self-centered to give a damn.

Let's see, what did I forget?

Oh yeah,

Fuck you, you ignorant, stupid, inconsiderate asshole.

I hope a nurse gets to do your next surgery and I hope they are at the back end of a triple shift when they start.

Maybe Republicans should just work harder and be healthier and stop blaming Democrats for their own problems.

While it's absolutely true that the nurses are the ones who take care of the patients, and I knew that and treated them with the respect they deserved throughout my entire career, it's sad that you are too ignorant to know that "...and other health care workers...", includes nurses, too.

Seriously, nurses, physicians, and many of the other people providing care both inside the hospital and in outpatient clinics have had it with potentially risking their lives for people who don't appreciate it, and the wait times for patients both at the doctor offices and in the hospitals are beginning to show the results, both in time, and quality of care.

So, congratulations to the Trump cult, who once again and in yet another way seem oblivious to the fact that your selfish ignorance and lack of respect for other Americans is hurting us all.

FACT - There were people who exercised and ate healthy who died of Covid. My guess is 95% of them didn't blame the world for their problems half as much as you feel the need to be an asshole on here.

Seems randy logic = Why should anyone be upset about someone over the age of 75 and/or who was 20 pounds or more overweight died of Covid? Those fucks weren't productive members of society and they should all have been dead already (or at least in the near future) anyways. The world would be a better place without old and fat people. We don't need them!

That last quote really hit home: “The degree to which this pandemic has revealed how little our society cares about the education of the young, the health of the old, and the well-being of everyone else, is staggering.”

Exactly this. Just mind numbing to see the callous selfishness and pride in a lack of application of intelligence.

Thank you for being an intelligent and decent person.
As someone who rode on elevators with "front-line" workers of all sorts on pretty much a daily basis before, during, and after Covid, I will NEVER minimize Covid and what many of them went through and continue to go through (on a much lesser but still to a degree) due to Covid.

Agreed. The toll on our front-line workers was absolutely brutal. Not because of the media coverage. Not because of the general public's hysterics or lack thereof. Because of the pure glut of people who came in suffering and dying and because of how horribly they were treated by many of them and their loved ones.

It was really moving to me when at the beginning of Covid living very close to a major hospital - I would see at 8:00pm people would shine flashlights out their windows to thank and support the health care workers and let them know they were appreciated. Horrible when that stopped. Of course it was going to stop at some point but to go from seeing people show their support, respect, and appreciation to not having that anymore - I felt terrible for the healthcare workers.
Thus, I made a point to thank them personally. I still do but not to the same degree I did during Covid. Shame on me.
