Recent successes at Tesla (whatever that is) is in spite of Elon; not because of him. He gave up running Tesla once he was done naming the models S, 3, X, Y. I’m friends with many Tesla employees and Tesla owners (a sizable Venn intersection). He’s using the company as an ATM to fund his other hare-brained ideas. Just because he used his PayPal $$ to fund Tesla (Elon WAS NOT a Tesla founder, no matter how much he wants to create the impression) he thinks it’s a rinse-lather-repeat algorithm.

And since he bought tesla it has become a trillion dollar company in spite of him?

What part of “recent successes” is confusing? It’s not a trillion dollar company no matter what you hear in the right wing echo chamber. The fact is that Tesla Motors has LOST nearly $1 trillion of market cap THIS YEAR, since April. Primarily one person is responsible for that.
