Just depends on if you see seeding as the reward for the resume you built or a ranking of teams in ability from 1-68. They seem to be trying to get away from the predictive measures and more towards concrete data supported measurements so I'd suspect that this will be more the norm moving forward.

I don't think the giant piles of upsets will be as large once elite teams are able to practice like normal. COVID leveled the field big time this year.
