But if anyone is within x number of yards + y more because our special teams suck : fair catch.
I no longer have confidence in our guys to do that math on the fly without ending up trying to catch punts facing backwards.

The very worst thing that can happen by abandoning efforts to catch punts is that you end up pinned deep. That's just not that big of a deal, compared with the calamity that results from muffing punts.

I'm still in the Mecole Hardman can do some positive stuff camp.
But please preach "it's ok to fair catch, it's ok to fair catch".
Maybe put that on a sound machine on repeat while he's asleep.

But so what if he does positive stuff? The only "positive" thing that really makes an impact is touchdowns.

Toub's unit has three of those in the last five years (two by Tyreek).

A <1% chance of a touchdown is simply NOT worth the risk. It hasn't been at any time since Mahomes was the starter, and it CERTAINLY is not this year, where something is very clearly broken (and you don't have Tyreek anyway).

That's putting a lot of value in thinking Mahomes and the Chiefs finish every drive with 7 points, or even 3, from anywhere on the field. Yards are still yards, even with this offense.

Nah fam. The math doesn't work for you here. Not when the offense moves the ball like it does, and a muffed punt - of which there have been more this season than touchdowns in at least the last FIVE - is almost CERTAIN to result in points for the other team.

The Chiefs just went 3-11 on third down and 0-1 on fourth and were in the red zone 3 times vs a subpar Seattle defense. We aren't unstoppable.

Give me 90% fair catches from Mecole with the opportunity ONLY if he sees endless space, to return.

Not sure what else to do here - you're simply wrong on the math (not the raw math from the Seahawks game, but the weighted math on cost/benefit of returns generally). Don't feel bad. Clearly Andy has the same blind spot.

Look at KU's issues. Might have won some games without the huge hole blown into the scoreboard. Skews time of possession too. Defense really on the field too much.

No Mecole.
Fair catch all punts.

One lucky turn for the Chiefs and Broncos, they get two neutral site road games in division. LV and LA are pretty red on game days.

Spagnola already failing at putting extra cover to Adams. Let anyone else beat you. Don’t put your 7th round cornerback on him single.

Yeah. Chiefs rarely get calls on offense. Obviously a way to tie Mahomes' hands.
