How can a person be wrong about disliking an articles title/wording/purpose? Isn't that subjective?

Man, so in this week’s edition of everyone I know gots the Rona…
My ski buddy who I went out with Monday just texted positive.
Beav thinks he has it too, but wants to go out for birthday drinks before getting tested.
Besides the usual work week exhaustion, I feel ok, no symptoms or anything, though I might get tested too just outta curiosity.

Beav wants to spread the wealth, then get tested?

He’s a walking example of cognitive dissonance.
He toes the line between common sense and BUT MAH RIGHTS, taking reasonable precautions until he gets to play the birthday boy card, as if covid will just take the night off and kindly buy him a drink.

Nobody bit on beav wanting drinks without a mask yesterday, so today beav wants drinks without masks while thinking he's positive but not getting tested.
Seems strange to me that a silver spoon cushy corner office guy would have a roommate that he disagrees eith on everything, sharing a condo that he complains about constantly, while also seemingly having a lot of receptionist type customer interactions that he hates....
Something just isn't adding up here

Reasonable precautions? You said 2 weeks ago you were the only 2 people in Boulder without masks getting dirty looks from the reasonable people.
Fantasy land.

And I can’t believe illy actually believed that I work at a corner office LOL
you silly prole!
I haven’t been to my corner office since March 2020. Nowadays I prefer the comfort and safety of one of my home offices. Preferably one of the ones at one of my vacation homes.
No way I’d actually ever let myself risk health and life having to deal with actual customers during a pandemic. What do you think I am, an essential worker or something?

Man. So another manager at work has been out for a couple weeks now.
He’s an OG county local, grew up on a ranch, and def a conservative. But not like full on stubborn magahead conservative, still a pretty level headed dood.
He isn’t vaxxed, but his rationale for it at least wasn’t the proudly ignorant asshole shit exhibited by so many else. Not that it makes much difference.
I’ve messaged him a little, and the other day he said he’s doing better. But! Apparently he’s actually not. Can’t hardly breathe, can’t hardly move, can’t hardly do anything but sleep. He said he can’t even eat, cuz apparently his throat is just that irritated? But yeah, a couple weeks in, and he’s still in real bad shape.
So he finally broke down and went to the doctor today, for the first time in years. He knows he should have sooner, but - and this is one of those pickles more or less unique to our country - he’s maintained he would rather die untreated than leave his family up to their eyeballs in medical bills.
#Merica.
I just hope he recovers soon. For his sake, for his family’s sake, and selfishly for my own sake. Cuz with him out, guess who gets to pick up his slack in the meantime?

Do you have time to pick up his stuff?
If not, what happens if you say "I don't have time to pick up his stuff"?

my wife was driving her father to one of the local pharmacies the other day to get a china fungus test. they had an appointment. as they were driving to the appointment she gets a text from the pharmacy telling her the results of his test. he tested positive for the china fungus. problem was, he had not yet taken the test.
