It's an interesting thing to have happen....because let's be real, if you've watched the Suns, none of them play extremely hard all of the time. Jackson included.

....not that there is anything wrong with being a "rudy gay"....we just all had higher hopes for him than that I think.
Well it's certainly a problem for Wiggins. Either 1) he cares about his legacy and having his mentality is going to completely keep him from ever winning championships b/c, again, look at Rudy Gay's career. It is no mystery at all why Gay was never on winning teams during his prime. Or 2) Wiggins doesn't care about his legacy and is only in it for the money, which, having his mentality is also costing him that as well.
Because, the ability is there staring everyone right in the face. The "higher hopes" don't belong just to us, they belong(ed) to everyone! The team that drafted him number one and gave him a maximum contract. The scouts that drooled over him since he was a teenager. The league that awarded him ROY. The university that desperately needs (another) superstar in the NBA. The shoe company that gave him the fat contract when he was 18. The sparsely populated country that backed him as the guy to lead them to prominence in international play.
He is the 6th youngest player EVER to score 6000 points. He is an elite athlete by NBA standards, olympic standards, you name it. The fact that Andrew Wiggins is not an NBA superstar is entirely because of what is in between his left and right ear. Literally everything else is there waiting.
If Andrew Wiggins turns out to only be some version of Rudy Gay, we all lose. Everyone.

Stoic as usual, Markieff Morris accepts his benching, which may last for a while
...The benching of Morris registers as the most calculated response by Brooks to the team’s frustrating start. In breaking from his own tradition,
Brooks promoted Kelly Oubre Jr. and sent Morris to the bench ahead of the team’s Tuesday night matchup. And judging by Brooks’s comments the day after the Wizards played one of their best halves to beat the Clippers, the Morris move worked and won’t change when the Wizards play Friday against the Toronto Raptors.

I think it'll be a good move. Their 2nd unit desperately needs some scoring.
And with Dwight Howard playing really well lately the PnR stuff has been going thru him and leaving Markeiff standing around the 3pt line.
Oubre gives them some quickness and versatility on the defense end.

I know he's not a Jayhawk but Covington shot 1-18 fg and 0-10 3pt last night - which was actually kind of nice because he helped overshadow what Wiggins did. Or didn't do.

Because he doesn't give a fuck? 25 million dollars for a guy who doesn't even try is sick.
I'm assuming Scott Layden is the guy mostly responsible for that and if so, he's a moron.
If it was strictly Thibs, he should have been canned long ago.
Some of the comments are pretty humorous.

What on earth is Wiggins doing?
The previous game Covington took 18 shots (missed 17 of them, but was aggressive). Is Wiggins really going to let covington continue to look like a superior player (both offensively and defensively)?
I'm so confused by him. I figured after butler left that he'd flourish...KAT certainly has. But Wiggins has been no different.
