Far and away my favorite game ever and I don't even play any of the online part of it.
the online portion is awful from what i’ve experienced
I tried it for about 15 minutes and passed. But the main game is so great I have played it through twice now.
Now that I finished Witcher 3, I need to find a new game to play.
yup
some days, i’ll just get on for a couple of hours just to hunt and try to achieve “excellent” condition pelts

I played Red Dead 2 and thought it was gorgeous but just didnt have the time/passion to go all in.
There were so many controls to learn and so many aspects to so many things.
Much like how Madden has gotten so complicated it's kinda become not as fun for me.
I guess I'm getting older but I like a game in that sweet spot to where it's more to learn than Mario brothers but I dont need to memorize a combo of controls so that I can correctly feed my horse. And maybe I shouldn't have to feed my horse in game.
I'll give it another try one day but its currently taking up a ton of space on the ol harddrive.

imo, many of the controls aren’t necessary
for instance, there are a bunch of “moves” you can do on your horse, but you can get by just fine without learning them
all you really need to learn how to use is your “weapon/item” wheel

I put Last of Us 2 on hold.
Just wasn't amped to finish it which is super disappointing - maybe one colder weekend i'll spark it back up.
I've started this back up.
The graphics are just so on point and the sound design matches.
But the direction of the story continues to disappoint. There's a push that could have been subtle but is just so forced that I can see why people think it's an agenda. But the bigger problem on top of that is who you get to play.
Would be like buying Arkham Asylum 2 or something and you only get to play as Robin and Poison Ivy.

Beat the game ( Last of Us 2 ) last weekend.
D- start.
B+ ending.
I see why the game cost rumors of 120 million to make -- the game play at the end is exciting -- there's a 'boss' battle that's just so very epic.
I also get what the director/writer was doing with the story -- but what a strike out in the process.
Highly recommend everyone to play Last of Us, the first one, if just for the story alone.
Can't recommend this one for the story - but can for the graphics and gameplay.

Mario Bros movie.
Chris Pratt-Mario.
Charlie Day-Luigi.
Jack Black-Bowser.
Keegan Michael-Key-Toad.
Anja Taylor Joy-Princess.
Seth Rogan-Donkey Kong.

Playing Horizon Zero Dawn right now. Nice open world game, decent story, pretty simple controller needs. It's not my favorite but it's a solid B effort, which since it is old enough to buy for $19.99, is an excellent value.

No, I refuse to pay more than retail and I stopped trying to score one through regular means. They are all getting scooped up by pricks running bots so they can make a buck marking them up. There aren't any games out yet that require me to have a PS5. I just have to get one before the Harry Potter RPG comes out in 2022.
They are so unavailable that they might as well not exist.

Anyone ever play the EA Sports PGA Golf games on PS? PGA Tour 2021 is out in there for free this month in whatever the PS+ thing is I have so I gave it a try today. Pretty good so far. I think the last golf game I played was maybe Tiger Woods 08 on PC.

The last golf game I had I bought for 5 bucks out of a walmart bin - Masters Tiger Woods 12.
Was fine -- fun building a player and trying to win enough to get yourself into a major.
Graphics today i'm sure are stunning.

I have played all of the last 7 Assassin's Creed games and liked them all. The most recent was Valhalla and was excellent but you can probably get Origins (Egyptian themed) or Odyssey (Athens/Sparta themed) for cheap now. Both were really good. Witcher 3 was another really good open world type game and can also be found for $20 ish on PS4/XBox.
