Lose dedric and we're in big trouble.
Lose Dotson and we're in big trouble.
Lose Vick and we've got nearly no reliable scoring output from our backcourt.
In his last 6 games, Vick has 24 made baskets.

And 25 turnovers.
ugh
And in the 9 games before that he had 57 baskets.....and 20 turnovers.

If you're going to have a guy like Vick rocking a 21.3% usage rate then he's going to have turnovers. The tough baskets make it worth it. He's the best we've got at it.

This is illys way of trying to make
me like Westbrook.
If you shoot 28 percent from 3 and have a shit ast/to ratio as the point guard in a team centered around you, you aren’t as good as they make you put to be.

And yea, it’s a trap.

A reason you should like Westbrook more, especially this year, is because his usage rate has gone down over the last 3 seasons and his team has gotten better over that span.

In 2016/2017 his usage rate was 41.7.
In 2017/2018 his usage rate was 34.1.
In 2018/2019 his usage rate is 31.0.

And this year is the best they've been since KD was on their team...he's deferring to PG13 a lot more and it's working.

Fg attempts also down from 24 in 2016/2017 to just under 20 this season.

Westbrook isn’t a good teammate.
He is like Vick * 2 * all of Westbrook’s turnovers.

I like Vick bc he is an unheralded recruit who stayed four years and apparently 90 percent of Kansas fans haven already given up on him.

PG13 and Stevie Adams disagree.

He was also a relatively unheralded recruit.

;-)

Wouldn’t the more admirable example be a guy who had better alternatives during at least some of the return years?

If you mean Westbrook, nah, he wanted to stay in OKC where he is revered and where he can put up 28 shots.

Fyp.

PG13 is taking 20 shots a game too. Actually about .5 shot more per game than Russ.

This argument works better when the player is creating plays for others as well as himself. Haven't really ever seen that w/ Vick.

Westbrook is an awful comparison, but I know it wasn't yours.

westbrook is an awful comparison. but in his defense he leading the league in assists this year.

vick has had some bad turnovers recently. but in his defense he is being asked to do a lot more this year. be more of a playmaker on the ball. he had the luxury of playing on the wing with frank mason and devonte graham his whole career

Westbrook is averaging a triple double, again, and now it's like nbd because we almost expect it. That's insane.
