It's really interesting that all these other games have been in small HS gyms essentially.
The Wichita regional will be played at Koch Arena. And from what I've heard, the local ties have made tickets sell quite well. Won't be full by any means, but a good 50% (5,000) will probably be there for the local games.
But that's also the reason why the payout for winning the regional is much higher than others. I believe it's $70,000+ for winning the Wichita regional. Other regionals have a payout of $5,000 or the next highest is $21,000.

The regionals do a payout of 25% of the ticket sales for each region. But in terms of money directly from the tournament and sponsors, it is winner take all for $2M.

So far..... Ticket sales for the Final in Chicago are dreadful. I'm not kidding when I say it looks like only 200 or so tickets have been sold.

Serious question - Why is Brady coaching and not playing?
My first interaction with Brady was at KU game when he was a Senior in High School.
He was sitting in front of me and wearing a throwback Larry Nance jersey.
Thought it was cool he even knew who Larry Nance is/was.
All of a sudden I heard him talking. I cringed. A wealthy white kid from Kansas who thought he is/was Black. I didn't get it. I still don't.
From today forward if someone asks me who my favorite basketball coach is I'm going to be like this kid. I'm going to grab my junk and say Brady Morningstar.

I was worried shooting would be an issue and it's clear halfway thru the 1st that it is a glaring weakness.
