As a retailer of high end retail...I can honestly say that it has been as if someone flipped the switch to "off".

No one is buying anything expensive right now.

I like good economies that are good because they are functioning well, not because they are artificially inflated and being managed by the Feb to avoid disaster. And I like it when the good economy is good for ALL, not just the ultra wealthy.

We are seeing home ownership and mortgage applications declining as well.

I assume you are referring to your own current predicament - being that plenty of people are buying plenty of expensive things right now.

When the government is pouring close to a trillion into the economy, it's hard to look bad. Well until you realize that we a just a big cog in the global economic wheel.

After looking at your picture, look at the fed dropping interest rates.
Either they see warning signs, which is bad, or they're taking orders from the President, which is probably even worse.
And look at the deficit, which is not supposed to go up when the economy is strong.

Every time "the economy" shows signs of weakness the Pubs must sh*t themselves not so much because they give a damn about their money and the future of the country so much as they care their guy is in serious trouble.
Shame the Dems have a bunch of garbage to choose from. Donald very well may be re-elected and to me that's the saddest statement about this country that I can make at the moment.
I would vote for 95% of those on here over Donald Trump in 2020.

I hear it in the same voice and tone as "BENGHAZI", "BENGHAZI", "BENGHAZI".

I am not going to try and convince MICH that the economy isn't good right now.
Problem is it's not showing signs of continued strength as much as it's showing signs of future weakness.
Anyone with a clue can and does see it.

The economy IS good right now. But the warning lights are flashing, the curves are inverting, the smells are coming from the kitchen. A drop is on the way.

No, I am speaking of sales data nationwide for the largest marine retailer in the world.

I agree, super-wealthy are still buying, and that trend is slightly up.

That's what I figured you meant. I am genuinely sorry for your hardship right now. Hopefully things turn around in the not too distant future.

I am doing fine. I am semi retired at this point.

But, as a whole, the outlook for 2020 is not good.
