Game's a coin flip, so many reasons to like both teams.

I picked either SF or NO to win it all prior to the playoffs, so only reason I'm picking SF in this one.

I do think they are the slightly overall better team from the slightly better overall conference, but that doesn't mean shit in a game that is so even on paper and the other team has the best player at the most important position.

My daughter was in the marching band in high school. They used to make extra money by directing parking lot traffic at camerohead. I'm convinced there is not a worse fan base than the Chiefs after that. Well, except denver.

I think NFL fans at the games, in general, are shit-tastic.
Been to Giants games - just as obnoxious.
Most renowned shit fan bases though are Raiders and Eagles.

It's the combination of football and the part of town that Camarohead is located in.

So glad the Royals are coming downtown.

This type of fan is why I don’t go to Titans boards. The worst.

The thing to remember about running teams are that they can all be stopped unless you have hogs and Riggins. I thought Pooka would run wild this year. The niners are a good team, but the Chiefs have beaten some good front fours this year. Healthy, they are sublime on offense.

And the Chiefs have a huge fan base outside of KC. Some great fans. Everywhere I have gone in the world, I have seen Chiefs gear. And Jayhawk gear. Kind of a natural merger.

Regarding worst fans, what about the bills fans that were fingerblasting buttholes at the games?

Wait, that might be best fans...

I'm eerily calm about the game Sunday. I think I'm just happy they finally made it.

That's not to say come Sunday, I won't be a nervous wreck. But I'm happy to see my Chiefs in the spotlight for 2+ weeks.

I feel like the first couple of days this week have been about the spectacle. Now the next few days, the actual talk about the game is going to ramp up.

We're being told to be prepared to be forced to close on Wednesday. Not sure what a parade in San Fran has to do with our office hours. ;)

I'm also being forced by her to go to a public place on Sunday for the game. I will wear some form of red Kansas City garb to avoid any unpleasantness.

Without question, it's the biggest sports day in the city's history. Haven't felt anything like it. It feels like the entire city's heartbeat is going to stop at 5:00 on Sunday.

Being anywhere requiring a drive (or an uber) home, which you may not be, seems like a recipe for disaster. I'll be in the neighborhood somewhere.

This is an outstanding and thorough breakdown of the game. Don't like the prediction, but not surprised at it..

There's a pretty decent chance that, to get his ring, Andy will have to slay the clock-management monster. I could very much envision a scenario where the Chiefs will have to preserve some meaningful clock for Mahomes, and Andy's ability (or inability) to do so will decide things.

Hopefully, it doesn't come down to clock management. If it does, Andy needs to stay the hell out of it and let Mahomie go.

He's actually been really good at this the past few years. On top of being really good at challenges. Not sure if he has someone giving him advice on both. But this doesn't seem to be an issue for the last few years.

I think they have the best Head Coach (been there before and really good with extra week) and the best QB in this game. That means a lot.

I'm not going to read that all right now but wow, that IS in depth.
That said, I skipped to the prediction:

"In evaluating these two teams, though, there's one significant weakness that stands out: the Chiefs' run defense. Against most teams, the Chiefs are simply too devastating on offense for their 29th-ranked run defense to matter."

And I definitely agree. Our run defense has been shoddy for most of the season.

But we stopped Henry last week.
Limited Hyde to 44 yards the previous week.
And the week before that held Ekeler and Gordon to under a combined 100 yards.
In fact, we haven't had a running back run for over 70 yards on us for 6 weeks.

I'm just hoping that's not an anomaly and the Chiefs rush defense can be respectable for one more week.
