Bullshit. I don’t know where you live, but in this country we don’t punish people for things they don’t do, or things they maybe would have done If...
Actually yes, we do. If I hold a gun in my hand and scream "I am going to kill you motherfucker", I can be arrested and charged with a crime even though I didnt do what I was threatening to do.
Because that is a crime. Picking up a stool isn’t. Jesus Christ, did you think about that before you hit submit?
Did I miss where there was some sort of criminal charges pressed against DeSousa?
No.
The Big 12 can fine a coach or suspend a player for simply saying that the refs suck or for flipping off a fan in the stands. Neither of those would lead to criminal charges.
Stop acting like criminal activity is necessary to warrant a suspension, it's a ridiculous conversation. I get that you want to show that you're a big supporter of the KU players but it's silly.
Good on him. He is a good kid. Just made a mistake like we all do at that age.

BTW picking up the stool worked, he turned and there was no purple within range.
Case's Flying Failure and DMax the bulldozer might have been more responsible for clearing that path. DeSousa seems to have looked up and recognized he was no longer in immediate danger and saw/heard Snacks imploring him to stop so he dropped the stool and went in to help DMac and Garrett.

The Laura Bauer Jeff Rosen mystery board gets a good lesson from the Mayor.

I see Long apologized. I see Silvio as well.
What about the Taters? They hold just about as much blame as KU.

There isnt anything to frame if that doesnt happen.
So that's a no on playing sports AND a no on ever being in a fight?
It meant that if Kansas State didnt bum rush Silvio on to the court then none of that other shit even happens. DeSousa at worst gets meaningless technical and the game barely makes SportsCenter because it was a boring blowout.
What are you blabbering about? Did you even read the post I was responding to?
Good point. I probably should have replied to this pile of word vomit:
Stealing the ball with 10 seconds to go isn't an infraction, unsportsmanlike, yes. Lifting a chair over your head with the "intent" to hit someone is punk behavior. I would have been fine with Silvio being kicked off the team.
I mean...seriously. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.
Anyone who has ever played a sport knows that adrenaline rush is real. Anyone who has ever been in a fight knows most of what happens is instinct and is therefore, by definition, NOT RATIONAL. And anyone who was ever born into one of the most violent countries on the most violent continent on earth, was then shipped away from home as an adolescent, was then, essentially, "sold" by his guardian to the highest bidder, and was, finally, fucked pretty good by the amateur body that is supposed to be looking out for HIS interests, knows that sometimes shit fucking happens and you wake up the next day thanking God that snacks is quicker than he looks.
Cool story.
Dont pick up a fucking chair in a fight. I was totally fine with everything that DeSousa did right up until that point. Once that happened, he put his ncaa hoops fate in the hands of others. The Big 12 and KU cannot tolerate the optics of that. It was way beyond the line of "instinct". You cannot go there and everyone knows that.

Cases flying failure? Comeon. That might have been the best part, and it was very successful. I would never call that a failure.

I'm not sure he's capable of thought.
Sadly, I'm pretty sure this is what passes for thought in his world.

Well in that case, here you go
I have been in two "fights" in my adult life. Both in my early twenties. The first was in a parking lot of a bar as I escorted a girl I was hooking up with to her car. Some dude, who I later found out was her ex-boyfriend, approached me and took a swing at me. I avoided that swing as well as the next six swings he took at me. I fended him off until the police officer who was in the parking lot by the entrance came over and arrested the guy. Since I was able to control myself despite being the adrenaline racing through at the time, I was not arrested with him and instead, spent the rest of the night having sex with that dude's ex-girlfriend. That was an exceptionally memorable evening of sex with all that adrenaline still rolling.
The second time, some drunk army guy was pissed that I punked him in a game of darts so bad that his girlfriend made fun of him. Again, he took multiple swings at me at me and again, I displayed a basic level of self control in a desire to not have to deal with the hassle and potential expense of any legal proceedings. I resisted the urge to clock the dumb, drunk motherfucker between his eyes despite the adrenaline and instinctual desire to pulverize the prick. His girlfriend thanked my roommate and I for not beating him up despite his attempts to drag me into a fight, bought us a pitcher of beer and we drank for the rest of the night for free. Not as fun as the previous incident but still a good night.
So there you go. Two separate examples how it is actually possible to have the opportunity, the provocation and the justification to get into a fight and still pass it up due to the application of a little self control.

It succeeded in making me laugh if that was the goal. He should get a raise for the hustle, that's for sure.

Case knocked Love off of DeSousa when he was half landing punches. Knocked Love out of his right shoe. Love in spinning, fell to the ground and the good things started happening.

Guess how many games these guys were suspended?
Zero. They even finished the game like everything was fine. Where have we come as a society since then?

Neither of those happened.
They did. The first was at a bar called Crocodile Rocks up at the north end of Colorado Springs. It was a cheesy dance club at the time but I didnt care. She liked dancing and I liked her.
The second was at an Irish bar called McAllister's Pub that was in downtown Colorado Springs. It had good beer on tap, a bartending staff who poured generous drinks to the regulars, was normally pretty quiet and had two real dart boards, which was hard to find at a bar.
I will be as violent as necessary but neither of those situations necessitated violence. Jails and courts are full of guys who couldn't resist the primal urge to let their testosterone take over their brains or who didnt want to look like like wussies to other knuckledraggers and chose violence when they didnt need to.
I like my money, my face and my freedom and dont feel like risking any of those just to try took like a badass.
