What about at chain restaurants? Now they all want you to round up to the nearest dollar to donate to charity. Which I think is great and I almost always do.
But...shouldn't these multi-million dollar chains at the very least match our donations? I mean, it's not enough I just spent $24.35 on THEIR food, now, the multi-million dollar corporation is gonna guilt me into donated the $.65 to a charity THEY picked, in a donation that's probably in THEIR name, and they don't donate anything.

Just a rough analogy.
My point was, perhaps it is worth paying attention to what others are doing when what others are doing may be screwing you over.
But heck, it’s Friday. Whaddya say we just chill out over some coorses? Meet me at the satellite shack, first bucket on me.

I can't wait until we find out that Taco Bell, or some chain never made the donation to their charity too.
It's weird that these huge corporations require their often minimum wage employees to ask their mostly low to middle class clientele to donate to a charity on behalf of nation-wide corporation...even if it's a good thing.

Whoa, all suspicious of the moneyed elites? You’re sounding like me now bro.
But it’s just a small price to pay, to get a good steak in an arcade atmosphere...

No, if I wanted to sound like you I'd bring up how apps and ordering things online often don't have, or at least it's not obvious, where to tip. I think that's shitty.
If I were you and claim that it's just BWWs way of making sure it's employees stay poor and have to continue to work there.

That’s a good point. Make tipping as obviously easy as possible.
Heaven forbid, restaurant owners just pay their staff a decent wage. Instead, they’re left to the mercy of y’all tourists.
Sir, I’m sorry that you thought your steak was undercooked, but why did you have to eat the entire thing before complaining?

And claim charitable donations on their taxes.

Yeah, charities are kind of screwed up, and tend to benefit the capitalists more than anyone.

I don't think that is how it works. At least not when they're rounding up and collecting for a charity.
In general, based on my experience, charitable contributions are treated a little differently for individuals compared to s-corps partnerships and corporations.

No, let’s keep that step going, cuz the only point to take away from that is one about greed.
I think the hoarding of wealth and avoiding of taxes affects us all.
Where you going with “no effort?” You mean like a freeloader? Or a vegetable? Or an inheritance? Orrr? I’m honestly not sure.
And hell fucking yes effort should be rewarded. That’s why I think anyone willing and able to put forth the effort full time should be rewarded with a decent standard of living. But Im not sure that’s where you were going with that one either.
Wealth is a motivator for creating stuff that people truly want, that's one reason capitalism works and communism does not. If you want to call that greed, fine, but it helps everyone.
I'm with you on the tax avoidance - I'm all for raising the rate on long term capital gains. Even though that money has already been taxed, I'm with you in that making money just by having money should be taxed at the same rate as making money by working for it.
I'm very, very much with you on the inheritance thing. The raising of the threshold for the estate tax in the Trump tax cuts was, to me, in the top three of the the worst things that administration did. Again, it's reducing taxes for people who didn't actually work for their money.
As for the minimum wage aspect, I will kick that back to you. Should we have a $100 per hour minimum wage? If not, why not?
$100 is quite a jump. But I think wages should at least be worthwhile for a worker, and keep up with other metrics of economic growth.
And wealth is a motivator, sure, but is it thee motivator for creating stuff people truly want? Heck
, people truly want a for cancer, but there’s more money to be made in treatment, so why not make a career out of that?
And if capitalism isn’t greedy, then what is it? Please read through this and then see if you can still say capitalism isn’t broken:
Well ain't this some shit.

You're blaming the airline for taking a bailout, but the bailout would not even exist if it weren't for your democrats & republicans in Washington. Get the government out and let the free market operate.
