It was. The 2013 draft had zero QBs but had a plethora of OT.

But Chiefs traded for Smith before the draft because there was zero QBs worthy of taking and all worked out in the long run.

In Veach We Trust

I assume that there is a plan in place that is more solid than a "we hope we can sign someone". Bold move considering how hapless the Chiefs offense was without them in the Suoer Bowl.

Man, I freaking love the NFL offseason.

Niang is the outlier here. That would certainly help if he is what some people think he could be. I wonder if the Chiefs aren't going all in on Trent Williams?

They're trying to get under the cap. He's going to go to highest bidder IMO

While I don't disagree with that we all know that the 'cap' is a freaking arbitrary number and there are ways that Veach could play with the numbers to get to where they would need to be to make an offer to Williams. Would it be the highest? Probably not but I could see them being very competitive.

They have to have a FA in the bag to make that move.
Knew it.
Had to happen with the $$ they commanded and the risk.

Bucs and Brady have a 4 year extension.

Surely he won't outlast the extension, right? This goes through the year 2022.

Bucs set up to contend for a while.
Thorn in Mahomes's side, for sure.

Wouldn't play them except for Super Bowl.

Would be a fun matchup to happen a couple more times.

Kind of sounds like a restructure for cap room.

Have always thought something is going to click inside Brady without a moment's notice where he knows he is done. I don't think he'll go through the dog shit Brett Favre season.

He said he wants to play to 45.
I bet he does that and hangs it up.

Barring an injury he is going to play forever if he keeps playing with a stacked team. The minute he doesn't and we see the Brady that we saw at the end of his NE tenure, which I believe is more an accurate reflection of who he is just as a QB he is going to retire. When that will be I have no idea.

Almost like a late Tim Duncan role. Can you play for 10, 11 wins and then dial it up in the playoffs?

I don't know what motivates him, but playing football would sound awful to me if I were him.

Now, a number of teams will do this and it counts against the cap down the line.
Hope is the salary cap goes up in the future.

Chris Jones and Travis Kelce also restructuring.
Chiefs 20 mill under the cap.

Going to happen yearly. Especially with Mahomes. He's going to restructure every damn year to help the cap.
