I would consider blowing the Jazz up. I don't see them ever coming out of the west.

Same. Donovan Mitchell had serious buzz a few years ago, but now with all the young talented guards he's not even top 5 or so in my eyes.

Rudy still has 3-4 good years in him.
I think he'd fit really well with the youth of the Grizz.

I am not as high on Rudy. Especially not with his contract running through 2026. And he's offensively limited. Plus Grizz like to play Jaren Jackson Jr at the 5 occasionally. He is young and fits with their core guys better than Gobert. Although if you could swap Steven Adams for Gobert maybe that makes sense.

I think Jazz will want more for Gobert than he is worth.

15.6 PPG on 71% FG.
Maybe feed him the ball more with those kind of percentages.
That's the 2nd highest TS% in the league.

"Although if you could swap Steven Adams for Gobert maybe that makes sense."
And yes, Gobert is a much better player than Adams, so that's why it makes sense.

Well, the Grizz also probably don't want to get their hands tied up with a long term contract with some of their young guys needing to be resigned before Goberts contract is up.

Gobert to the Grizz doesn't make sense to me, but I am sure there are suitors out there for an elite shot blocker like him. Just maybe a slower tempo type team. Memphis 4th in pace this season. Utah 23rd.

Celtics would be a decent spot for Gobert. But Robert Williams, when healthy, is turning into a beast. Maybe Knicks would trade Randle for Gobert? Change of scenery for both teams. And rumor has it Mitchell still dislikes Gobert.

Adams gets 26 mpg and isn't any faster than Gobert and isn't nearly as good.
Robert Williams is a lock for the Celts and is young.
Gobert and Adams are a year apart.

Fwiw, I don't like Adams either for the Grizz. But he's unrestricted in 2023 vs 2026 for Gobert.

Gobert is also 9mil+ more per year salary.

Worth it.
Memphis would easily have the best defense in the league.
And money ain't no thang for their owner.

I've also heard Rudy could go to the team that is beating them right now.
That would make sense after the Porzingis debacle.

Mitchell might not be in my list of Top 10 NBA guards age 25 or younger.

If he's top 10, he's 9 or 10 at best.

The 25 or under thing makes it tough.

But probably would not be in my top 10 guards if age is not a factor.

LaMelo is really good. Better than Lonzo already for sure. And C comparable to Mitchell.

LaMelo would command significantly more on the open market than Mitchell would imo.

Yea, well, problem is, I run the joint.
So I wouldn't get your hopes up.

My brain tends to lump wings in with guards. You're either a little or a big.

Doncic, Young, Tatum, Morant and Booker are pretty solidly above him then you get guys like Garland, Edwards, Jamal Murray, Ingram, LaMelo, etc.. So he's probably in the Top 10 now that I look at it but in the bottom half of that Top 10 for sure. Mitchell has one of the lowest fg% and 3pt fg% of all the elite young guards. He's fine I suppose.

Dejounte Murray for the Spurs is another.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is decent. Not sure I'd put him above Mitchell yet though.

Fwiw Donovan Mitchell isn't always viewed as a PG.

Here is a list (sort crappy imo due to how high Westbrook is, sorry still luv ya bro)...not being provided for the actual rankings just for names to spark people's brains...it does not include Mitchell, I am assuming because they feel Conley is the PG for the jazz and Mitchell is the SG.

Tatum isn't a guard but those other guys for sure.
Garland, no.
Murray, maybe.
LaMelo, no.
Edwards, no.
Ingram, not a guard.
You forgot the other Murray who you could consider a maybe.
I'd also, because of his defense, put Jaylen Brown as a maybe.

And yea, Mitchell is considered a shooting guard.
