Game probably should have been about 63-21

Certainly doesn’t help matters that, for whatever reason, the broadcast was such a disconnected mess.
The calls that WERE shown on replays were generally legit…but there had to be ten calls for which no replays were shown.
It was a broader problem - on multiple occasions the announcers were not even aware of what was being shown on the screen.

I heard this morning that UNLV was under investigation for a points scheme against UNM. Same MO. Line swung quickly. The shifting line to just 7.5 before kickoff--a whole TD drop, was highly suspicious as big money was bet on UNLV very late after freezing in the spread. Real good reason to not schedule these guys if possible. The refs may have been the conduit last night as I think they were surprised how much better, as it were, KU was. Had to call everything.

No replays didn’t help but there’s also no way we committed a bowl record number of penalties.

The whole thing was confusing, both ways (for example, no review on Skinner's first long catch).
It was just very, very amateur.

An investigation might be in order.

Someone found a replay of that “face mask” ( basically zoomed in on game footage ) in the second half that led to a 1st and one of their quick TDs which ultimately was absolutely nowhere near his face/helmet.

Yeah--that was the one the one called for by the UNLV runner looking at the ref after the play. The official then threw the flag having no angle where he could even judge the call. It was very hinky in real time. Getting KU to a margin under the spread seemed real important until they panicked and called it off. KU so overmatched UNLV.

See the day before when they ruined the Lions game. Very very restrained Sunday

If you look at the game thread I mentioned the refs a couple of times. One missed hold and the weird grounding call on cincinnati. Neither of which caused one team to loose the game.

Huge miss in the Rose Bowl. Glad I'm not a Bama fan.
