UConn is really good
Yeah. If KU managed to hold on against Arkansas, uconn would've routed us by 20 just like everyone else

Really good at the end of the season.
Had a stretch during the season where they went 2-6 (and were 5-6 in their conference).
I didn't watch a single second of last night's game. Seems I probably didn't miss much other than to see a team that had been playing really well - play well.

Didn’t watch either.
Mighta if FAU was in it but why the 9:30 tip off?
Do they really think you can draw the best numbers at that time slot on a Monday?
Tip this thing at 8 ET.
Also UConn played some good teams in this run despite the seeds. 4 teams in Kenpom top 20.

That region was stacked for sure. Didn't matter what seed you played, you got a tough team.

Yep. Terrible matchup for KU with the way KU finished the season.

Lotsa bad “is UCONN a blueblood” takes out there this morning, but this one might be the worst.
It’s such a subjective thing that I think you very much CAN make a case for one but not the other.
I think the only programs that must be on any reasonable list are Kansas, UNC, Duke and Kentucky.

My worthless opinion - There is a 100+ year history of college basketball. Do we only discuss current/recent blue bloods? If so, then you probably remove UCLA. If not, then you don't.

"Titles mean everything in sports."
First sentence and we're sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings, across the table Chad: face full of Nashville Hot sauce.

Ucla seems like such an outlier.
I mean, their run of a bajillion championships in a row could should would be the goat argument, except that everybody knows it was more than anything cuz of their proto-NIL schemes.

UCLA is very close as #5. 4 Final 4s since 2000. KU has 6 Final 4s on the other hand. Mick Cronin is doing some good things for them recently. 3 straight 2nd weekend trips in the NCAA tournament.
UConn is right there as well, honestly. Titles mean a lot. And they have the best tournament success out of anyone since the 1990s. 5 titles and tied with Duke since the 1990 season and UConn did it in 8 less seasons.
Current CBB program ratings IMO. Includes history, fan support, recent success and more.
1. Kentucky - Still think the cream of the crop in terms of overall program
2. Kansas - Great recent success and overall history puts them over Duke
3. Duke - Still an unknown without ratface
4. UNC - KUs cousin. Some down years recently including NIT seasons. Great tourney success tho
5. UCLA - Overall history brings them over UConn. Good recent success too
6. UConn - Titles over everything for them.
7. Indiana - Great basketball state. Kind of being turned into the Cubs by being "Lovable Losers"

Do I think titles are dispositive? No; I don’t think UCONN is a better program than Kansas.
But the UCLA thing is different. They’re going to have a single title in a 50 year stretch. That’s not good enough to stay in the club.

So, KU was out of the blue blood club from 2002-2008.
