Have you actually heard of some medical professional faking covid to get out of work so they can fly to a Bulls game instead or whatever?

Cuz if so, gutter would have blurry cell phone pics to confirm.

Or, are you sure it was medical professionals? Or maybe just that sushi waitress?
It's Gutter's story. I just borrowed it.
It's not my story but hey, by all means keep believing it is - if it's working for you.
I have explained my story (what I felt has been CLEARLY) multiple times.
Anyways, I have been told by a medical professional at Northwestern Hospital that a) They were requiring ALL employees (doctors, nurses, office workers, food services, etc.) to be vaccinated. They no longer are and b) At one point last week there were an estimated 20% of Northwestern Hospital "employees" who were out with Covid.
Now did they truly have Covid? I don't know but I am sure some/many/most of those estimated 20% did.

In the very near future I am going to make a completely different post because frankly I am pissed off. Stay tuned.....

At least in my area, I don’t know of a single bidness dealing with employee shortages due to covid right now.

1. A vaccinated person who is Covid POSITIVE can walk in to and dine in a restaurant in Chicago NO PROBLEM but an UNvaccinated person who is Covid NEGATIVE can NOT.
That's fucked up!

2. I live in the heart of a major city. There are least 20 Target/s, Walgreens, CVS, etc. within a 12 block radius of where I live. I went in to 8 today looking to buy N95/KN95 masks. Not a single store has them in stock.
That's fucked up!
Then I just read this....
https://abc7chicago.com/face-mask-kn95- ... /11453652/
Why the fuck do people have to go to an Alderperson's office to get one and there are 1.5 million SITTING in those offices but a person can't purchase one within 12 blocks of their home?
P.S. These are MY alderman's office hours Mon - Fri 9am-5pm. In other words, limited hours.

2 years in to a pandemic and this is the horse shit we citizens are forced to deal with? That's fucked up!

Seriously? I'm not kidding when I say I would guesstimate 90% of businesses in Chicago are right now.
I know this is just one example but I went in to Nike yesterday and the manager told me they are super short staffed due to Covid. There were about 75% less employees in there than they normally have.
I am currently dealing with trying to get my mother moved this week and it's been a disaster in regards to furniture and appliance deliveries, the movers, etc. Of course Covid is a convenient excuse but it's also a legitimate one.

So I could go buy covid tests at the store, and send the receipt to my insurance for reimbursement?

In my area, at least, other testing options are still limited.

2 years into a pandemic, and here we are.
Did you not get issued a debit/credit card by your health insurance provider? I have one for my health insurance and a separate one for my HSA.

Vaccinated or unvaccinated, if you're positive for COVID and still going to restaurants, you're just an asshole.

Unfortunately, there is no known blood tests for being an asshole. It's a condition that has plagued the world forever, and the condition can be exacerbated greatly by warped interpretations of personal freedom.

There is a lack of direction on how to get your insurance to pay for home tests right now. Of course, the program hasn't even rolled out yet.

As always, it is hard to feel 100% confident about being reimbursed by your insurance company for these tests. I would certainly wait until program rollout when, supposedly, you will be able to show your insurance card and be given take home tests for free and you make the pharmacies, et al. figure out the reimbursement.

A lack of direction.

Yea cuz this covid thing sure did come outta nowhere!

That was a shitty excuse 2 years ago.

It doesn't kick in until Saturday.

But, getting insurance companies to pay for something has sucked forever.

a villianous teachers union is your major dilemma.
There was a lot more to it but do you find it "villainous" for them to care about themselves and their students who were NOT properly protected in the manner in which they were told they would be and were supposed to be?

You know what else was a major dilemma? The FACT that kids who needed them were given laptop computers during the pandemic for "remote" learning and some/many of those kids and/or their "guardians" sold them. Should those who sold them be given another computer if they were forced to continue with "remote" learning?

Which is particularly ironic in the context of health insurance, cuz the whole point of health insurance is somebody else paying for you.

Your first sentence - Of course I agree.
Your second sentence - I'm pretty sure if there was one - it would confirm I'm an asshole.
Your third sentence - Well said.
I have tried to show respect to my friends who have shared their reasons for choosing NOT to be vaccinated and yet I have been ridiculed for being vaccinated by numerous "friends".

And then…
the sad part is, if we could literally have two weeks of complete lockdown, globally, we’d be out of this

Right?

2 week global lockdown, plus send everyone 2 weeks of tests, which they’ll no doubt administer in good faith. We’ll be able to track and trace the hot spots, and otherwise be out of the woods by April 2020.

More like 6-8 weeks, but yes.
