Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Whoa, 1000 day quarantine.

Imagine getting covid in March 2020 and still being in the hole about it.

But actually. To answer your question “does anyone really know?”, apparently the ceo of Delta did.

Yes, "villianous" teachers are the problem. My daughter is just about to get back to teaching her junior high class after taking a week off due to covid. Just before Christmas she was getting harassed by parents. The principal stepped in and said they would take care of the parents, she just needed to keep teaching and ignore their demands.

Good news for the parents who are angry at the teachers. They may soon get to teach their kids themselves when more teachers start leaving for other professions. Then the parents can home school and show the teachers how it should be done and see how easy the job is.

Kids who don't want to go to school and will do anything to get out of it? Unprecedented.

Fast forward forty-five minutes to them hanging out at the local Starbucks, not social distancing and with masks down below their chins.

I haven't missed a day of work throughout the pandemic. Neither has my wife, nor has the guy whose office is next to mine. There are some of us who still take pride in doing our jobs.

Well, I don't have anywhere near the same level of expertise that you do with socks, but I'll accept the compliment.
