Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested
Unfortunately the Constitution guarantees people/organizations’ right to be a$$holes. The Administration cannot yank their press privileges without violating their rights. However, they can ignore Fox, put them in the corner of the last row. I think that would be most effective retribution.
At some point, pulling preferred-access press credentials is warranted. It is not a journalistic outlet, and while the government has no right to restrict Fox's speech, nor does the government have an obligation to further it.
couldn’t agree more
The precedent has certainly been set by the previous administration. Only they set it at a "you publish unflattering things" instead of "you publish inflammatory, false things".
i actually had something similar typed out initially

Is "yanking press privileges" under the umbrella of "abridging the freedom ... of the press"? I'm not sure it would be; a great, great, great many credential applications are denied all the time, for all sorts of reasons.
Declining to grant an unfettered privilege is not the same thing as denying a Constitutional right.

But have fun telling that to the AR folks.
Fair point. But I still think it would be particularly insulting if they were allowed to attend but conspicuously ignored.

IMO, if the WH did relegate Fox completely or even only to the corner, rather than acquiesce and potentially lose viewers to NewsMax et al because they aren't serving up red meat, i.e., lies about Biden anymore, FOX would weaponize it and claim victimhood to their all-grievance all the time cult, which is nothing if not always ready to cry and whine about how they've been wronged, again.

It’s all very interesting. At some point, which might be as early as right now, the *shit* on the far right will be ripe for squashing down (dividing the right against itself and letting it burn, and picking up whatever reasonable scraps want to see the light).

Like I tell bartenders when I ask them to change the channel away from Fox, "I feel dumber every minute I have to watch that":

Donald Trump Says Continental Army 'Took Over The Airports' In The Revolutionary War
NB: This is the same propaganda arm of the "conservative" Christo-Fascist republican party that gaslights the American people by conflating the BLM protests with Trump's attack on our nation's capital disregarding the votes of 81 million Americans and attempt to overthrow our government.
