Is KJ the second coming of Richard Scott?

One of the smallest teams we've had in some time.

Should make up for it by being quick as hell on defense.

The game itself is getting smaller and faster. Might not be a bad thing. Its a trend we are seeing in the NBA too. But we still have a lengthy and explosive team

If Harris wasn't quietly one of the best point guards in America, there would be a lot of talk about Yesifu and Pettiford right now. I know, Yes isn't a true point guard, but you get my point.

Big stretch. Harris did well as a role player surrounded by guys like ochai Braun etc. He's very good at the basics. He plays good defense and takes care of the ball. Good passer.

Can he score? Not really? Can he beat people off the dribble? Occasionally. But not really. Can he shoot? Hell no

I like harris. Hes a true point guard. Thats rare these days. Hes a heady basketball player. But he has A LOT to prove still

"One of the best points guards in the country" implies a lot more than what we've seen so far

Good enough to be starting point guard on the national championship team. His job wasn't to be the scorer.

Man, Cam can't catch a break; separated shoulder...the goal is for him to be back to full-strength by conference play.

A big blow to Cam's chance to get minutes. While he's sitting out, others will be playing and getting more experience and improving.

I know this will sound bad, but all things considered, this is may be a blessing, especially for our young guys. No veteran for Self to fall back on as a learning tool or due to comfort factor.

I want Udeh to play right away. I also want to figure out what we have in Clemence (is he only a 5? Can he also play 4?). This may speed some of that along.

Our best chance to repeat is not with KJ (or Cam) at the 5 imo. Udeh Clemence or Zuby need to progress quickly as the season goes on.

Again, in no way would I consider Cam to have more relevant experience than Clemence or KJ.

tdub's bad bet gets canceled by the sportsbook. Lucky dog.

I remember a game at Colorado where Scott had 19 first half points....the Buffs had 18.

Not more than KJ or Zach, but equal to them at minimum. And loads more relevent experience than Udeh or Zuby.

Hope Cam heals up quick, for his sake.

I have serious doubts he was going to play any sort of relevant role for us this year though. I am thinking KJ Zach and Udeh (and maybe Zuby) have it covered.

I firmly disagree. Certainly with Zach, he was consistently playing with better talent and against better competition for the several seasons before he and Cam got to KU. And then both Zach and KJ have been at KU just as long as Cam and have actually played at KU. The dropoff to D-II is very large in terms of a night-in night-out basis compared to D-1 majors. It's not like FBS vs. FCS football.

I read someone say somewhere if KJ was 3" taller we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I agree. Udeh has that aggressive dunk everything attitude. I think he has the potential to be dominant but it will take time.

We still might be having the conversation because if KJ was 3" taller, he might be playing in the NBA right now.

Yes he was the a good fit next to the other guys and a good role player. In no way does that make him one of the best point guards in the nation tho. He could take a big step forward this year tho, we will see, but hes gotta improve that shot and add some playmaking

Much different players around him this season

In a way that could help us. Sucks for cam. But he was never our future. He was good enough to be neck to neck battling for playing time tho. But it could simplify the battle for minutes a little
