We’ve prob discussed before, but is antivax shit on the rise for other shit too?
Like refusing to vax babies for the usual diptet and MMR and stuff. Or refusing a meningitis vax to live in KU dorms.
Particularly since covid, and the rise of conspiracies and shit.
It's funny, I don't remember if I posted it or not, but there was a political correlation with the flu vaccine.
In most years something like 55% of Americans get the flu vaccine, and it was about the same for both parties, like Pub 53% and Dems 57% or something like that. then in 2021 the overall percentage stayed about the same, liek 55% but only like 40% of pubs got the flu shot and like 78% of Dems...I'm guessing at those numbers, but I think they're in the ball-park.

I do think it's very interesting that pre covid the vocal anti vaxxers were crunchy Cascadia type PNW hippie moms with hairy armpits.
I also wonder how this would all be viewed by some of you if Trump were still in office and the vaccine wasn't stopping people from getting covid?

lol, another friend who works HR at the ski resort just got to the final step of the hiring process of the new candidate.
The offer is made, and vax mandate is reiterated.
The candidate replied that he referred the mandate to his lawyer, who will submit the case to the Supreme Court, so expect a scotus subpoena soon.
I think his knowledge of vaccines is about as extensive of his knowledge of how the courts work.

I point out I dunno where he got that over 10,000 number from. And what constitutes death by vax. If someone with cancer and a month to live gets a vax then dies a month later, does that count?
Do you think it should count if as a covid death if a person has cancer with a month to live and gets covid while in the hospital where they were already dying?
What constitutes death by covid?
I think the easiest way to try to look for an unbiased check is to look at excess deaths above what you would normally predict. Those excess deaths correlate pretty strongly with the reported Covid deaths. If anything it would suggest they are being underreported.

To me personally, the death tally is not the most important part of assessing how serious of a problem this is. Like you've repeatedly shared, death isn't the only negative outcome.
I just don't like when the death toll or case count is used for political purposes. Which is absolutely being done. Like references to highest daily new case totals being with the vaccine out, but not being transparent that testing is also at an all time high.
Think that might be Tdub and his neighbor carrying the trash can.

Any response to Gutter's post? Is that how Michiganders work together in harmony?
