jfc...wind switches to coming from the north, and now the mountains have disappeared and there is unhealthy air quality for all groups
it could definitely be worse, but this whole issue of not being able to enjoy the natural wonders of this state because of wildfires in other states is really getting old
At our TU meeting last night, the old fart water dorks said we would need 10 straight seasons of above average snowpack to fully recover from the current drought conditions.
Which is to say, new norm.
Where’s the even morer frighteninger perspectiver thread?

true story...if i didn’t have such a good job there’s no way i’d stay here
i might be too pessimistic, but i really don’t see the situation in the west improving in the near future...we might get an exceptionally wet year on occasion, but the average norm is going to be notably more arid than it has been historically

Yeah.
The old adage among ski town locals was, “come for the winter stay for the summer.”
But now, with less and less winter snow, and summers literally burning to the ground, I kinda wanna just move back to the Midwest.
Maybe I’ll check out Springfield with illy, depending on how dank his nugs are.
AQI in Truckee, CA where my daughter lives is 454! Yikes

Probably because it was apparently fine until last night and the wind direction changed. Also maybe there’s a threshold population? A five block area in Dhaka or Kolkata have more people than Truckee

Cant wait for the live blogs of Illy and Ousdahl raging in hoppin central Illinois.
Very hard to tell from the photos but I witnessed "water spouts" over the lake.

I speak of waterspouts (one or two words). Rare but not unheard of on Lake Michigan.
Kind of crazy to see them within a mile or two of my home.
It was better seeing/watching lightning striking the Trump building. As if Mother Nature is/was sending a message.
