According to ESPNs FPI, Chiefs at a 46.4% chance at making Super Bowl. Think that's pretty good.

But as listed above, do not want to play the Chargers. At all.

Our defense has done a better job getting to the QB but it's still bad.
Not kinda bad - just bad.

And atrocious v the pass.
32nd in the league in defensive QB rate, total yards passing allowed and 1st downs via the pass allowed.
2nd most 40+ yard gains allowed.

We're slightly less worse against the run - and this is why I'd rather see a Lamar Jackson and his cast of underwhelming receivers than a competent Tua with maybe the best WR duo in the league.

As for the Chargers, i've watched a good amount of them this year, as I had Herbert in my fantasy league, and he just always seems jazzed to face the Chiefs. We were fortunate that he injured his ribs in the game vs us earlier. And Mike Williams is exactly the kind of receiver we are god awful at marking.

Pretty sure he hurt his ribs IN the Chiefs game, not before. But yeah, their big receivers are tough to handle for the rookies. However, they've made a change recently that Sneed follows the clear #1 receiver after Juedy tore up KC in Denver, so my guess is that he'd be on Williams exclusively.

Funny fact of the day:

At 27, Patrick Mahomes is the oldest starting QB of the AFC playoff teams.

Allen, Burrow and Jackson are 26. Tua and Herbert are 24 and Lawrence is 23.

There really aren't any teams that I don't want KC to face. They can beat anyone if they don't shoot themselves in the foot. I just hope they stay healthy and give themselves a shot at advancing.

Yes, that's what I said, that he hurt his ribs in game.

My bad. It's a Monday, I thought you said before the Chiefs game.

Opponent preference, regardless of who is QB in order:

1. Ravens
2. Jags
3. Dolphins
4. Chargers

Just insane. Old guy of the group and still JUST 27.

The Dolphins with Skyler Thompson are quite a bit less frightening that an all of a sudden top 10 quarterback in Lawrence.

That said, no way a Skyler Thompson Dolphins gets by the Bills.

It's a 2023 schedule but fitting here since opponents are decided..

Chiefs Home Games:
Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Bills, Dolphins, Bengals, Bears, Lions, Eagles

Chiefs Away Games:
Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Patriots, Jets, Jags, Packers, Vikings

One game, either home or away will be in Germany. Something to monitor. Probably a home game as the Pats are the only team with rights to play in Germany from their road schedule.

Why do we have to keep playing the Bills and Bengals?

The Chiefs young secondary has come around. The pass rush has been really good the last month because of it. Six sacks a game is great. It has allowed Spags to blitz freely. Chenal, Bolton and Gay are a lot like Lynch, Bell and Lanier as youngsters. Would like to see Clark back at fullspeed after the bye.

You always play the same place teams in the same conference but the 3 other divisions. So since Chiefs have always won division and that’s what Bengals and Bills have done recently, they’ll always play each other.

6 games against division foes.
3 games against other division teams with same place.
3 games against all AFC South, East or North teams, on rotation
4 games against a rotating division from other conference. NFC West, East, North or South
1 additional game against a top team from other conference with the added 17th game.

For all the NFL's faults, there's no better league at scheduling.

Premier League could take some good things from the NFL on that.

It's the best. Gives a ton of marquee matchups with the way they schedule. And they do a good job of spreading those games out too.

If it's not like on Thanksgiving or X-Mas or later (weather), I'll go watch the Chiefs play in Minneapolis. Would imagine that Lambeau will be the trip that most of their fans take.

Staley should be fired for running Herbert (and Ekeler, and so on) out there yesterday, with nothing to play for.

Particularly THAT franchise, which is so susceptible to like four out of their six best players contracting diphtheria at the worst possible time.

Could have stolen a bye week.
