Maybe their should be a hotdog and beer price cap. Maybe revenue sharing of parking that goes to the fans. Ticket prices are subsidized by t-shirt and cap sales.
This right here.
Ok, but this is wishcasting. The owners don't even really need fans to go to games anymore, and that's only getting worse as legalized gambling comes into the picture.

Literally the only power "people" really have here is (1) to stop watching/gambling, etc., and (2) stop funding stadiums.

If you could promise me that "owners" winning any part of these negotiations would be good for fans, I'd be all ears. But that's not how it works. Two-sided, zero sum game.
(2) would be the reason why fans should be considered.

I'm sure there was a time when players having a CBA was probably wishcasting.

Ok, but the bridge for "should be considered" to "must be considered" is substantial. I do not see a realistic path for that to happen absent court/legislative mandate (which isn't happening).

Time to move the Royals to the top. Any word on additional quality arms? I saw some depth signings on the transaction wire, but nothing exciting.

I would imagine they'll pick up some guys in the next week or so. Their lineup is pretty well set. Would be nice to get one really above average starter.

C - Salvy/Callagher
1B - Dozier/Santana/O'Hearn
2B - Lopez/Whit
SS - Mondi/Lopez
3B - Witt Jr./Mondi
LF - Benintendi
CF - Taylor/Whit
RF - Whit/Dozier
DH - Santana/Salvy/Dozier/O'Hearn..?

Pitchers
Singer
Minor
Keller
Bubic
Hernandez/Lynch/Kowar

Amir Garrett is a Royal. Bad year last year, but a really solid closer.

Minor and cash to Reds.

Opens up a rotation spot for one of the young arms.

Holy shit man, he's 38. Projected to go about 10-7 with a 4 ERA this year. That'll play. And it'll get fans in the stands.

Witt going to for sure be starting 3B. Just waiting to see where he is in lineup. 6 or 7 feels about right.
