Re: Charges
why is it the judges’ responsibility to accommodate the personal schedules of defendants?
do any other defendants get such consideration?
do any other defendants get such consideration?
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I would just point out that running for president is discretionary.KUTradition wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 9:56 am why is it the judges’ responsibility to accommodate the personal schedules of defendants?

No wonder Trump has stiffed Rudy, and nearly everyone else he owes $ to. He's fortunate to have a cult of aggrieved fools who will keep sending him money, largely because he hates the same people they do.

Former President Donald Trump is running out of other people's money to spend on his legal bills, which could total in the tens of millions of dollars if he takes all four of his criminal cases to trial.
His key fund has spent nearly all of the more than $150 million it raised, and is sitting on less than $4 million, according to the latest numbers available. He’s already dug into his fund for 2024 ads, and borrowed money to post bail in Georgia. And some of his allies are begging for donations, saying he won’t pony up...

Re: Charges
The irony is palpable. Two PACs, both misnomers, volleying millions in donations. Fault!
Re: Charges
Watch Trump end up with some Fulton County public defender, who has to squeeze his trial between a urinating in public case and an unpaid parking ticket.
Re: Charges
People who know about these things tell me that he's looking at low-to-mid eight figures per month in legal costs/expenses. And that's before more states take their whacks (and the feds have at least two more cases to bring, also).Shirley wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:39 am"So Much Winning!"

Is it legal to use campaign donations for legal services?
Just asking questions.

I still think we're not prepared for what a general election campaign will look like when one side has so little cash. The networks need to resist the urge to give The Defendant loads and loads of free airtime.zsn wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:06 amTl;dr version: rubes are running out of disposable funds.Shirley wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:39 am"So Much Winning!"
