Haven’t been following, are the KU to Big 10 rumors now dead, or is that still a possibility?
Nobody has any idea.

This is playing out like the NFL trying to create an affiliated farm university system.

Really the only take. I am good with a rejuvenated conference. Not much we can do as fans but offer support

You could stop being greedy and donate $100m for a new stadium and another $100m for program support.

I'm agnostic on this so long as this is the walking part of us walking and chewing gum at the same time.

Yep. This big 12 thing all happened so fast. Thinking back to Girod's first statement when talking about KU's place, he emphasized how much time KU had to figure its position out, specifically referncing the end of the TV stuff set to expire at the end of 2023.

Wouldn't it be crazy if TX and OU decided to back out of their commitment to the SEC. The Big12 would be a good conference with 14 teams.

...and yet still vastly inferior to the SEC and B1G.

not really. not from a competition standpoint.
the BIG 12 is not inferior to sec basketball. quite the opposite.
the BIG 12 is not inferior to big 10 basketball.
the BIG 12 is not vastly inferior to big 10 football.
from a competition standpoint, the BIG 12 is not vastly inferior. but you knew that.

Meh. Alabama and its meth addled league of ectomorphs have the grievous misfortune of being located there.

Boise St. and Memphis still on the conference’s radar, apparently
rumors of a second round...maybe if KU +1 get an invite elsewhere?
or, a legit attempt to get to 14 and corral the best of the remaining Group of Five schools?
