NewtonHawk11 wrote: Mon Jan 09, 2023 9:31 am According to ESPNs FPI, Chiefs at a 46.4% chance at making Super Bowl. Think that's pretty good.

But as listed above, do not want to play the Chargers. At all.
Staley should be fired for running Herbert (and Ekeler, and so on) out there yesterday, with nothing to play for.

Particularly THAT franchise, which is so susceptible to like four out of their six best players contracting diphtheria at the worst possible time.
Could have stolen a bye week.
Right. Zero reason to play the key guys, lots of reasons not to. And yet.

So I guess this does upset some players around the league. Not that anyone in KC gives a shit about what a Bronco player thinks.

It was a little insensitive to teams who never bond. There was some friendly banter too. Think of the children!

I am sure they do tryouts from time to time to kick the tires on some players. It hurts nothing. Worse thing that happens is that they don't sign him. Best thing that happens is that he becomes even more awesome, makes the Chiefs roster and helps them out in some way. Go for it.

More manufactured outrage. KC has kicked his team's ass every game since September of 2015, when this guy was 2 months shy of his 17th birthday. You'd think that would be enough motivation but whatever.

Didn't BIFM play baseball too? He and Mahomes would be fun. Would actually like to see JD back up Pat

Chiefs v Jax, 4:30 ET.
Works out perfectly as KU is on at 1.
Sports Saturday again.

I’m guessing the line will be just over a TD. 8.5?

Opened at 9.5.
Chiefs play their A or even B game, they should have no problem covering it regardless of how well (or poorly) the Jags play.
I did well with my worthless predictions yesterday. I'll stick with my Chiefs by 17 prediction.

God article on the Chiefs and Andy Reid this morning.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/354 ... ity-chiefs

An item I found interesting (now that we aren't living through it). In the 2012 season just prior to hiring Reid, the Chiefs went a franchise worst 2-14, lost 9 games by 15 or more, didn't have a lead in a game until Week 10 and dealt with the Jovan Belcher murder/suicide debacle.

What a difference the right coaching hire makes.

And I watched almost every single game of that 2012 season. The Jayhawks were bad. The Chiefs were bad. Just a bad football season.

Coaching AND quarterback.
Alex Smith was good in Kansas City despite the game manager label.

Alex might have won a SB without that inane forward progress game. Or the Luck fumble to himself.

As good as Alex was those Chiefs era teams were never legit Super Bowl contenders. Alex would get you to 10 wins but you just knew that he was never going to be the QB to win a SB.

Was just announced the Chiefs are playing a game in Germany in 2023.
Is it considered a home or road game?

I think, unfortunately, a home game.

Probably a Chiefs/Bears game will be the Germany game.

Chiefs Jags likely to be played in a cold rain or even some snow on Saturday. Wind chill around 30 and a 50% of rain after 4 with it turning to potential snow around 6. Right as the game wraps up.

Don't know how well Jacksonville will react to that colder weather.

Couple that with Lawrence's comments about how he doesn't know if Arrowhead will get as loud as their stadium did last week and it's going to be a loud and crazy game. Fans will have a ton of fun, Patrick Mahomes seems to like crappy weather games too.

Chiefs by 10 at minimum.
