On another note, Chicago is a cesspool when it comes to celebrating St. Patricks Day.
Shitloads of drunken idiots all over the place.
The two main major parades (Downtown - including the green dyeing of the river and Southside) were canceled. Yet, there are literally 100s of thousands of people who have no problem celebrating by congregating in tight quarters in bars. Many of them are the same assholes who felt the need to basically pillage store shelves and stock up on "supplies" they felt they needed to "survive" this crisis.
The fact that the city has shut down many/most tourist attractions but is allowing bars full of hundreds of people is shameful. JUNK!

In the same amount S Padre was still doing concerts and events.

College towns are even worse. Cancel school so that all the students will just meet up at the bars later. If I was the same age and knew that my entire semester would now be online I would have probably done the same thing.

amazing how the messaging is STILL flying in the face of medical experts’ recommendations

this, along with so many Americans’ propensity to “not let the gov’t tell them what to do”, is why we could be in for a worse situation than we already are

Yall’s comments seem to fit with my theory in the Fox thread.

In fairness to Dr. Fauci, let's refrain from calling him Trump's expert. The good Doctor is certified deep state.

I would complain about picking the wrong industry for a pandemic (Pretty tough to build buildings from home). But that woild be pretty insulting to my sister and feral and other medical professionals that are having to deal with this directly. Props to them and thanks.

Its also pretty insulting to use your time in isolation to pack into bars and resorts. Stay the fuck home people.

I feel like the two dudes intended to be there to be "corona tough guys" on camera, and then she took it to a place even they weren't prepared for.
