I read some other Chrichton stuff too and it woke me up to the threat of dinosaurs learning to open my doors.StayCurious wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 2:49 pm "Climate change" has been in the works for decades now, and just you wait -- it will be the next big thing that no one can be against. I once believe Democrats cared about the poor and wanted to provide health care for all. Oh how naive I was.

Well nobody is forced to work for him. With the Twitter takeover he offered people multiple chances to leave the company WITH pay. They still got their salaries for the next 3 months or however long even though they quit to reenter the job marketOverlander wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 12:11 amThe fact that he forces employees to work overtime, for no additional pay.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 10:36 pmWhy. I have had a strong distaste for Musk for over a decade.
The fact that he ran Tesla like a sweat shop.
The fact that he has a long history of breaking contracts and litigating himself out of penalties.
Oh wait, you dumb fucks LIKE that shit

His employees get decent salaries. Its not like they are broke. He expects his employees to work harder than some companies sure. Hard work isn't completely gone. Bezos does it too. If he was actually that awful nobody would work for and his companies would fail. Instead he has half a dozen very successful ones

Except that ISNT what happened. That was the spin the liberal media put on it, for political reasons. Did you see the full length video or read/her about the actual trial? Rittenhouse never shot anyone until after they started attacking him. My kid won't be dumb enough to attack someone holding a gun. Rittenhouse getting off was no brainer because he was within his rights to bear arms and his right to self defense. There was video evidence of him being attacked first

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

YES, I watched multiple video numerous times. Yes, I read and heard about the trial.
I watched numerous "news" channels, I read numerous "news" accounts, I looked at numerous social media outlets, for the very reason of seeing and hearing the DIFFERENT accounts of how they interpreted what happened.
Bottom line...
By watching multiple videos I concluded the first person he shot DID NOT "attack" him. Yes, the person was coming after him but did NOT "attack" him. AFTER he shot the first person multiple people went after him to try and stop him from possibly?/potentially? shooting others.
I don't have an issue with him and his attorneys arguing he then acted in self defense but I do have a big issue with people feeling it's ok to shoot and kill someone who as you say brought a skateboard to a gun fight.
Think about this for a second. You're walking down the street. You see a Black guy who you assume is a gang banger. Another one of his buddies comes out of nowhere. They start running up to you. One of the guys grabs your arm. You assume they are going to rob/mug you. You take out your gun and shoot them both. After you shoot and kill them, their other buddy tells you that you had dropped your wallet or phone and the first guy was trying to give it back to you.
Point of my bringing up that scenario is that I have a problem with people who have guns and use them when it's not necessary. Just like Rittenhouse.
If he didn't have a gun with him he never would have shot the first person and multiple people wouldn't have "attacked" him - and he wouldn't have shot them.
My hope is your kid wouldn't be dumb enough to "attack" someone holding a gun but if your kid did and was trying to stop the person with the gun from shooting his friend, or your wife, or whomever, you would have no problem with the person shooting him and you would say the shooter did nothing wrong?
I just don't believe that.

Did you see that before Rittenhouse shot anyone he was actually running away and they continued to chase him?

Were they chasing after him to bring him his wallet or phone that he dropped?

Rainbows brought race into and incident between white people, and then said some really racist shit about "assuming the black guy is a gang banger"

And also. There is nothing wrong with "having a gun"
Notice the guy with the gun was not the aggressor. He was just fed up with the mob mentality of vandalizing businesses and looting businesses that we saw normalized during the blm protests

And why did we see looting and vandalizing normalized during 2020? Because the liberal media made excuses for it. Labeled it as "mostly peaceful protests"
Why did they make excuses for it? It was politically advantageous. Trump was still on offfice. Divide the country, promote political unrest, blame it on Trump, brainwash people into voting for the other guy as the solution.
And ill give the dems credit... it worked. They were willing to burn the country down just to rule over the ashes

I do think there is something wrong with Rittenhouse taking a gun into that environment willingly. When he didn't "need" to.
He should have stayed home. He prevented nothing meaningful by going there that night.

Re: Facebook, Google, et al
agreed. there is nothing wrong with owning a gun. My issue with this is that he specifically went out seeking conflict.....and in the end he ended up killing people. If he was never there seeking a conflict he never has the opportunity to claim "self defense".BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 9:36 am There is nothing wrong with having a gun.
