illy assures us that both sides do it, so nbd
It's not nbd, but both sides definitely do it. I posted a link to an article about dems doing it in IL somewhere around here.
right, but as i’ve said time and time again, reducing it to that talking point completely misses the relative magnitude and actual harm being done by either side

do you really not see that?

both sides might literally do it, but one side takes it to a whole other level
And I think reducing it to the talking point that "the other side does it worse than my side" (whether that's even measurable/true or not) also completely misses the actual harm being done.

To sum that up - a reporter used basic functionality of Chrome dev tools to see that the state Department of Education site was sending teachers' SSNs to everyone, he informed them so that they could fix it... And as a response the Governor is opening a $50 million investigation and seeking to press charges against that reporter.

lol...it’s absolutely true, and numerous people have posted actual facts that demonstrate as much

but by all means, continue arguing and looking silly

It doesn't matter to me which side does it worse because both sides are wrong for doing it. This isn't that hard.

Is your issue with the act of gerrymandering or is your issue mainly with Republicans gerrymandering? Seems less about the actual gerrymandering imo. If it doesn't bother you when your side does it then you'll get no sympathy from me about it. It's either wrong or it's not.

You tell ’em, illy. Aspirin has side effects and cyanide has side effects. Side effects are side effects. If it doesn’t bother you that both have side effects then you get no sympathy. Did I do that right?

Cyanide and aspirin aren't even remotely the same.

Republican gerrymandering and Dem gerrymandering are the exact same act with the exact same purpose.

Not your best effort, but i know you'll turn it around.

you can’t be serious

trolling?

i’ve made it abundantly clear what me thoughts are in this subject. redistricting should be done by an independent body ideally, but at minimum by a bipartisan committee

of course it’s bad when both sides do it

such a dumb thing to say. maybe stop worrying so much about who is on what side...it’ll free your mind up to discuss people’s actual views...if that’s really what you’re interested in doing

why do you continue to downplay the actual, on the ground outsized ramifications of your side doing this - disenfranchising and suppressing the will of the people?

Because apparently if the Dems do it once, it nullifies anyone's right to complain about the 100 times the GOP does it. You know, hypocrisy and all...
