randylahey wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 6:37 pm This all started as "2 weeks to flatten the curve" that was the original goal posts.

Then came forced masking, continued forced shutdowns of businesses, people lost their businesses and jobs because of a crashed economy that wasn't allowed to reopen. The shutdowns and masking were nowhere nearly as effective as advertised. People predicted it.

Then came trial vaccines. People were afraid there would be mandates, they were labeled conspiracy theorists for that, they were right. Businesses in all sorts of various fields mandated the vaccines and peoples lost their jobs for wanting bodily autonomy to make their own health choices.

The vaccines were rushed out and promised to be safe and effective. People questioned that, were called conspiracy theorists for that, they were right. Fauci/biden said word for word that if you get vaccinated you won't get covid. There was no science to back that, it was a lie it wasn't even tested to see if the vaccine would stop the spread.

People that played along and got vaxxed w were having health complications, they were censored, their posts about their real life experiences removed from big tech platforms. But when people said that big tech is censoring them, they were called conspiracy theorists. They were right about it, later was proven big tech WAS controlling the narrative. When people said the vaccine isn't necessarily safe and there are risks, they were called conspiracy theorists, and yet again they were right. The vaccine has proven health complications.

Faucci said he had nothing to do with funding research on gain of function on viruses, people said he was, they were called conspiracy theorists, and yet again they were right.

The scary aspect to some of all of this is whether or not covid is a product of lab research/manipulation. People suspected it was from a lab, they were called conspiracy theorists, and YET AGAIN they were right.

Youve been lied to time and time again. Its a proven record, and still some of you are unwilling to question things, its pure insanity.

So tell me again... how have the goal posts not moved????
I hesitate to even engage with this True Rubery, but you need to bring some evidence. Maybe you could start by showing where Fauci or Biden ever said, one single time, that if you got the vaccines that were developed that you wouldn’t get Covid.

I note, on this point, that you said “word for word.” So I presume you have this at hand.
Easy. This took two seconds. You could've looked it up yourself

Biden said this publicly on multiple occasions. The liberal media echo chamber said it every where for awhile when they were trying to convince everyone to get vaccinated
I would ask everyone to stop and join me in a moment of silence to commemorate this event, Randy’s first fact check. Of course this was the first thing he saw at the top of his twitter feed this morning and it confirmed his belief that everyone is a liar except for the known liars that he believes, but that it is not the point.

Randy fact checked. That is what we should focus on with moderate confidence.

Now I think we should all take a victory lap, we have all been asking for this all along, through the twists and turns of this thread, through the months of disinformation and moderate and complete WTF moments. This is a momentous moment, take your lap anyone who moderately doubted that this would ever happen.

Its just interesting that EVEN they are saying it came from a lab now. A theory I've been considering for years and was criticized on her for by some of you
That isn't what they are saying. They are saying that they have a low degree of confidence that it is the most likely source based on the evidence they have today. It's not a did/didn't lightswitch thing.
FWIW, the FBI actually says it has "moderate" confidence.
Moderate? moderate? That bunch of indecisive pussies and liars are finally "moderately" coming around to Randy's proven twitter fact, after years of looking at data and research?

Randy always knew all along because he reads twitter. He doesn't need research or even need to read the content that comes after headlines to know.

He just knew. Always has. Maybe someday facts and data will provide proof, but in the meantime he knows and that is enough.

Someday when Randy is eulogized for his good work here, they will print this entire thread out as the culmination and crowning achievement of one man's knowing and steadfast willingness to eschew proof, for knowing. I like to think sQuirt will be there nodding his head and shedding a tear for another true knower.

Example of Twitter at it's finest. This is the Alderman in the area of where I live. He tweeted it last night and he was 100% WRONG.
It was a male officer who was shot and killed. This is/was his name, Andres Vasquez Lasso.

Just not very exercised about this. There's a substantial difference between someone saying the wrong thing extemp, and someone deliberately misleading. I do know that building a case off extemp misstatements is the sort of thing one does if they have, deep down, low confidence in the fundamentals on their side of a situation.

Imagine getting on a message board and telling a PhD who teaches and does research at Johns Hopkins that you know more than they do about something as complicated and arcane as infectious disease.

smh

You're right, this is the United States Representative from the 3rd Congressional District of the great State of New York that I'm speaking to here. I should show some damn respect.

Edit: I misread Feral's post entirely, but I like the joke (vis a vis Randy) so it'll stay.

The disease that spread worldwide and killed more Americans than any other nationality under the auspices and executive authority of the Trump administration is the fault of Biden. Because it was faked. Or spread intentionally. That Polio vaccine sure sucked too.

This type of interaction doesn't get boring for you guys?

Randy isn't as right as he says, but he's not completely wrong with some of this stuff when it comes to the media and the narratives that were pushed. There was a stretch there where some were blaming the continuation of the pandemic almost completely on unvaccinated and that simply just wasn't true.

They pushed a J&J vaccine to predominantly minority/low income communities because it only required 1 shot because there was an assumption (right or wrong) that this demographic of people were more unlikely to show up for 2 shots. And then that vaccine had to be pulled for a time because of concerns about side effects. That was a bad look, both the "why" it was pushed to that demographic, and also due to loss of credibility within that demographic.

Our handling of the pandemic was mostly piss poor. Across the board.
