NFL fans love the 4th quarter, especiallt the last 4 minutes or so. Just fire up a 6-8 minute OT period, play the sport the same as you did for the first 4 quarters and whoever is winning at the end wins.

And yay on Sutton. He was not capable of adjusting quickly or at all sometimes.

I would take that too CnB. But the days of Stenerud kicking off moveable sandy sod of a baseball stadium repurposed for football are thankfully over. I would like another full quarter myself.
But then it wouldn't be a quarter, it would be a fifth.
He’ll be here all week

I think the NFLPA would say no to a full 5th quarter b/c of the injury issue. Probably owners/coaches too.
As for the product itself, I suppose it's fair, but football already loses fans because of the time commitment.

I don't have an issue with the college rules.
It's exciting and, as Fish has said, with the league adapting to skew to the offensive side of things, it's more fair to both teams, and should shorten the game in theory.
The system now is flawed.

And perhaps you only adapt the rules for the playoffs.

According to SCHEFTER a name to ‘watch’ is Rex Ryan...
Not sure what to think about that.

I’d go with Marvin Lewis, but I haven’t been following to see if he has another job.
What is true: the Chiefs will get a very good DC. It’s a good setup right now.

Nothing from Lewis. I wonder if Reid will go with someone he is familiar with?
If the Chiefs are smart they should be able to get anyone they want. The defense isn't complete void of talent, best players are relatively young, AR gives you freedom to do your job and your offense is going to score points.

The Ford call sucks because he was on the back side of the play and it had no baring on the play what so ever. Do I recall the call coming late as well? (I may be imaging that.)
Linesman threw the flag as soon as the ball was snapped.

I was talking to a guy at work yesterday. He claims they never showed a replay of Ford being offsides. I thought they did and it was pretty obvious.

Regardless of all the bullshit we went through, the future is brighter than it's ever been for KC football.

How do the Ryan brothers keep getting jobs?

Isn't Rex the one with the Mark Sanchez tattoo?

Whoever we get I hope it’s an aggressive, blitzing, defense.

We were bottom 5 in the NFL in blitz percentage this season.

Yeah pretty predictable when you know the heat isn’t coming.

The NFL OT rule has sucked for 50 years. I’d rather see a skill challenge decide the game.
It’s been my only real gripe with the league for a long time.

Doesn’t the team who wins the OT coin toss win the game like a vast majority of the time?
Who wants to watch a good game come down literally to a coin toss?

It’s just more evidence that football makes people dumb.
