Yeah. That long play likely lost me my matchup. Unless Rodgers throws an INT it McCoy gets some yards or a TD.

Screwed KC on the spot and Reid wasted a TO on second and inches. But Reid wasn’t great game managing today.

You had to go for it today on 4th Down. Reid made some stupid errors with a patched up defense

What are other examples of hall of fame level coaches having a large fatal flaw like Reid does?

Perhaps Bill Self and his nerves in March? Doesn't seem as egregious.

It really is quite strange.

I will say this. I feel a whole lot better about the Chiefs this morning than I did yesterday morning.

Rodgers hasn't been hit much this year. The Chiefs hit him 12 times and he was sacked 5 times. The Chiefs allowed 2 TDs on first 2 drives, next TD didn't come until they had a short field after a McCoy fumble.

I think the Chiefs defense has stepped up. They seem to enjoy playing together finally. Took a while like I said early on. I said wait until week 8 or so until results start coming. But that defense with Mahomes at QB wins that game in my eyes.

Have not seen all season, but did see DEN and GB games and the other night games. Chiefs D looks like it gets good results when running blitzes. They will not keep anyone off the field in late game situations.

Chiefs seem a couple of wins worse than last season, but it's really mostly because of injuries and a defense that is still in a few seasons-long work in progress. Should be a monster team in 2020 with good health.

Yeah not having 6 starters out there hurt last night. 2 of them on the OL, 2 of the best pass rushers and an all-world QB.

And the OL gave up 2 sacks. The front 7 got 5 sacks and 12 hits on Rodgers and Moore was very Alex Smith-like. Efficient with short throws, 2 TDs and 0 INTs.

I still think they'll be a monster team this year. As I've stated, I think they get a home playoff game because the West stinks. I think they'll do some serious damage in the playoffs. This stretch without Mahomes is actually making them better, as weird as that sounds.

Are any of the Chiefs major injuries considered season ending or does it look like they could all be back at some point this season?

Here's a good way to look at it with Chiefs. This is what they usually do. If a player is injured, he'll be limited all week in practice, but sit out the game. Then come back next week full participant and then play the following game. They've done that with Watkins and Hill.

Groins linger so Jones could be dealing with it constantly. Fisher too. But they've both been out for quite a few weeks already. I'd imagine they're back for Tennessee game at the latest.

Clark had a neck thing pop up, been dealing with it all year. Finally took some time out to get it right. I'd imagine he's back soon.

Wylie should be back this week. Ankle issue but limited participant all week.

Mahomes obviously back soon. He mentioned to TV crew that if it was a playoff game, he'd play.

Kendall Fuller could be back this year. Will likely have a cast on his hand of some sort as he recovers from fracture on hand.

All 6 starters should be back before bye week.

Far as the public knows, no. From an injury returning timing they could have as close to a full team as they have had since the first game of year by the Titans or Chargers game. Obviously that will make a huge difference.

Last night was an interesting game. Much closer than I thought. I thought the offense played about as good as they could with Moore and Damien Williams ran hard. Take away that Shady fumble and maybe they sneak out a win. That turnover was an absolute killer.

Defense seems to be turning the corner. They look night and day better against the run. Started to get gashed late but they were getting worn down. Secondary is much better than everyone thought and you have to believe they will get better when you get Clark, Fuller and Jones back. LBs are a HUGE issue.

Defense has to force punts. Getting a TO would have been nice.

We seem to have cut down on the penalties as well.

Sorry if this has already been posted:

The Los Angeles Rams have traded cornerback Aqib Talib to the Miami Dolphins.

The teams also exchanged draft picks with a fifth-round pick headed to Miami and a 2020 seventh-rounder headed to Los Angeles.

For the winless Dolphins, this move is essentially to buy a draft pick, as Talib is currently on injured reserve. The Rams were looking to dump Talib's salary; there is approximately $4.2 million left on his deal. Talib will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/ ... st-easiest

"We predicted before the season that the Patriots would have the easiest schedule in the NFL this year, and it looks like we were right. They certainly had the easiest schedule for the first eight weeks of the season. Every single one of their opponents ranks 20th or worse in DVOA right now. Based on this analysis, the Patriots will finish the season with an average opponent DVOA of -11.8%. That would be the third-easiest schedule we've ever measured, since 1986, trailing only the 1999 Rams (-15.7%) and 1991 Bills (-14.3%). But hey, those teams both made the Super Bowl. An easy schedule is a nice bonus when you're trying to secure the No. 1 seed, which the Patriots earn in 90% of our current simulations."

I would like to see a schedule based on playing every other team in the conference. It is crazy to have such fluctuations. The Niners too have pretty much coasted.

I’ve always liked the NFL scheduling system, but it’s definitely frustrating that the Pats get 6 free wins every year.
