2 steps forward, one step back

sucks to lose, in that way, to statie at home. but, what’ll be more telling is how this team responds and performs next week

Very timid across the board. We need the D-line back.

It’s just lack of pride, pure and simple. None of these kids get it. That starts with the coaching staff failing to motivate, but ultimately, you have to have kids who care more about winning than which uniform style they are wearing. This group needs a swift kick in the ass.

I don’t know about that. I believe these guys care. If they didn’t they would have cashed out like Juice. Today they got a large serving of stark reality that KSU is that much better of a football team.

The apologists have to get tired.
There comes a point where you go, well fuck, we can't even find a staff who can coach, again, again, again.

ksu doesn't have as huge of an advantage in talent that many of you seem to believe.
it's quite possible their d2 coach is a better coach than ours.

At this rate what else do we do. Who else is better to pull KU out of the mess they have got in. Les and his staff are exactly where just about everyone thought they would be in the first year.

Astonishing that psych didn't have the dumbest vulture take on this board after that game.

Older son played at KSuck for two years before injuries ended his career. Snyder made it clear to his team from day one that the KU game WAS the season, pure and simple. They prepared for it during the off-season and every week in-season, but the week of the KU game involved extra prep and more intense practices. By the time the game got there, they were loaded for bear. It is apparent that Kleiman is of the same mind.

I don’t think any KU coach since Mangino got that, and, based on what we saw today, no one on this year’s team does either. This needs to be the last year that Miles doesn’t get it. And he also needs to find a real Defensive Coordinator.

It has been a positive path and we could very well end up with 4 wins, which again, is ahead of schedule. Just keep working your ass off on the recruiting trail and try to get these guys to stay committed. It's 4-5 years just to get the roster replenished.

I'm not interested in that tater mentality.

We are so far from "caring" being our only issue. The last 3 coaches combined to set all-time futility records.

That’s the mentality that will help keep the futility streak alive into the next decade.

You saw you all saw what happened today. A better team flat out dominated another team. Better depth, more physical and a first ‘year’ coach and OC getting worked. That is just what is going to happen when you have to rebuild from scratch.
KU still has a very good chance to win four games which would be a giant upgrade from previous regimes. Today we all learned, especially me that this is going to take more time then we all wanted to admit.

You beat Oklahoma last week, preparation didn't beat KU, players and execution did.

Whatever you say chief. KU football has sucked for a decade because they don't care about the tater game enough. My gosh.

One of the worst Power 5 teams in the country got worked by a legitimate top 25 team. Color me shocked.

I wish it weren't that way, but when you're a bad team trying to get better, the volatility of the Kansas State, TCU, Boston College, and Texas Tech games is pretty par for the course.

Not talking about sucking in general; I mean losing to KSuck. I would rather have won today than last week.

Sure. They're a much better team. The stadium was sold out for the first time in 10 years. Quite a few people that live in Kansas care about that game more than they would the Tech game simply because of the opponent.

We got our ass handed to us at the line of scrimmage just like TCU game. It's nonsense that Les Miles caring more about the game with whatever gimmicky motivational speech or whatever changes that.

When you are KU Football you take any wins you can.
I do believe they cared about this KSU. I do believe they prepared for it. They simply got beat in every way by a better team.
