How good could we be if Ochai was at least good? Not great but good

HCBS left him in for 39 minutes today. He must have done something right.

Ochai is always active on D.
That helps.

Self also knows out very best is with a top notch Chai.

He’s still looking for it.

Did you just call him chai?

Cuz if so, dude needs a mean streak and be dirty chai.

I think he could do it too, but it’s gonna take a shot or two of espresso.

he was frustrating at times tho. I wouldn't have hated braun getting some of those minutes. any time ochai tried to dribble baylor was up on him looking to steal it. he couldnt keep mark vital off the boards or out of the paint. that dude is a monster of a guard tho.

but yeah i had higher hopes for agbaji than what he have seen from him. he's a good college player. understands his role. he can just be passive at times. might need a little more confidence. upside is still there tho hoping he breaks out

To me, Ochai has been the biggest disappointment of the year(a year with few disappointments for KU). While he has had stretches of very good play, he is just very inconsistent and passive. To me he is a clear case of needing more experience and the confidence that brings. I doubt he improves dramatically by season end from what he is now(ala Malik), but next season could be an amazing year for him.

My hope is that Ochai has that Wayne Selden improvement from year 2 to year 3...

this is flagrantly dirty, and deserves a T.

We've beaten 2 and 4 and I'd love another shot at 7.

If any team scares me going into March, it’s creighton.

Generally speaking, the only type of team I'd rather not see is one with a dynamic, mobile big guy (like Dayton).

No guards scare me. No 5s scare me.

I'd rather not play Baylor because they are by far the 2nd best team in the country, have no bad losses, and they curbstomped us at home.

I can handle everyone else because of our wide margin for error. Even Udoka's body improvement makes me less worried for the dynamic big guy than I would have been in other years.

62 first place votes for Kansas. 2 for Baylor.
No other teams got first place votes.

Dok would eat them alive. Creighton is a good big man away from being a legit Final Four team.

The justification for Baylor over Kansas is what exactly?

Better body of work? Nope.

Distinctly playing better lately? Nope.

Less bad losses? Nope.

They beat us by more points at our place.
They have one fewer loss.
That'd be the only justification I could see.
