There were 42000 background checks for first time gun owners in Oregon last week. You think all of them were "people of that intellect" which you are inferring to be trump voting Republicans? No, the Republicans already had guns. This isnt a political issue, it is a human nature in times of crisis issue. To be honest, im not entirely sure you can unequivocally say that its the absolute wrong thought process either. If i didnt own a gun I could certainly understand wanting one as we move forward with an uncertain direction and, particularly in this state, a governor that has gone totally radio silent on the issue unfolding across thw nation and state.

it’s people having a knee-jerk reactions and, like i said, letting emotions over-rule logic. it’s not unlike people hoarding toilet paper
i’ve got two hand-guns, and a half box of rounds for one of them. had a feeling that maybe i should go buy a few more boxes, but then my brain actually took over and thought “why?”...what additional good is a couple of extra boxes on 9mm rounds gonna provide? peace of mind? nope. added ability to acquire supplies? nope, at least not unless i’m gonna hold up a local store.
