They might need to push this thing out a week or two.

I don't want any heads to roll in this situation. I want our coach and players to be smart. That's all.
"What's the big deal"? Might be NO deal, might be a small, deal, might be a medium deal, might be a big deal, might be a huge deal.
Like I said, "I have ZERO idea what if any repercussions there could be by Wilson giving updates on his Covid situation and my exact words were - "my GUESS is it's probably better he NOT post about it on social media than if he does post about it".
That's all.
As far as my question, it was just that. A question. The answer very well may be a resounding - NO. If so, great!
Now getting to the 6 refs - and my wanting heads to roll.
"The referees were told to arrive by Sunday night and check into their hotel, but multiple officials said that the rooms weren’t ready upon their arrival, nor was there any food". "Instead of having the officials wait in a secure area".........
That's a substantial fuck up in regards to it seems there wasn't a good contingency plan in place.
I'm curious as to who fucked that up and how can anyone be confident going forward that there will not be any other fuck ups?
OK, so now my next question is what conference tournament did the ref who tested positive ref in and do those teams now have to do anything differently in terms of "contact tracing"?

Many people's exact thoughts.
I have to assume it would be a logistical nightmare being that everything has been put in to place already in regards to travel - and as the ref situation may show, it seems a lack of alternative/contingency plans.

Still don’t get why they don’t wait a week and let teams sit tight in Indy...

Too many moving parts to get everything moving after such a short turnaround from a majority of the conference tournaments.

I am NOT an Illini fan but this kid is a winner (heart and soul) and one I feel our coaching staff should have gone after harder.

I used Torvik’s site and sim’d the entire tournament bracket.
Things to note:
Liberty knocks out OKSt with a buzzer beating 3.
St. Bonaventure goes to the S16.
USC takes down KU.
E8: Zags, Iowa, Colorado, Texas, Baylor, Arkansas, Tennessee, San Diego State
F4: Iowa, Colorado, Baylor, Tennessee
Baylor over Colorado for the NC

Baylor and Colorado won’t be in the final but I like some of the upsets.

It further weakens the ncaa's claim that they are students first and athletes second if they miss even more school to be locked down to play basketball.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they gave up whatever was left of that high ground
last week.
Still, it's also both smart, and very gross, that their response would be something something everyone's going to class remotely anyway.

I do. I care about KU, I care about Kobe, I care about college basketball.
Who the fuck are you to determine what I and other people should and shouldn't give a shit about?
My hope is the Bryce does something similar if/when we win the NC - if he is so inclined.
https://www.essentiallysports.com/ncaa- ... anged-him/
“The Kobe news, I think, shook everybody,” KU coach Bill Self said Monday in a pregame interview with radio voice of the Jayhawks, Brian Hanni. “It shook people that didn’t know him. … Our players loved thinking of Kobe as their Michael (Jordan)".

Minus the fact that KU has 3 kids out due to covid protocall, why exactly should the ncaa delay a tournament that is scheduled to start 2 days from now. Given everything we know, everything we have been through, what exactly is going to change, what exactly is going to be better one, two, three weeks from now?
Nothing. That's what.

Just put a pin in this one, and let's revisit on Thursday/Friday.

What could have POSSIBLY been better MIGHT have been to have the teams arrive in Indianapolis, "quarantine" for 10 days, and then play games.
