Fortson has the potential to have a really good season as TE2 on this roster. All of a sudden, the Chiefs are loaded with big red zone targets like Kelce, Fortson, MVS, and Justin Watson. Watson, like Fortson, has cemented his spot on this roster this preseason.

Just watch the back shoulder fade. Chiefs have barely run it. Outside of Kelce’s game winning grab against Buffalo in playoffs. Ran it to Fortson on Saturday. Kelce will be a target of that and so will JuJu. Red zone used to be about speed and misdirection for the Chiefs. Now it’s about size and mismatches. They’ll take advantage.

Mahomie with the Lenny Huddle. Nice touch.

Bushman scored his first NFL TDs and looked great. Then broke his clavicle. Sigh.

So I know the Chiefs are still in on CEH ( shoulda drafted Swift ) but if you’re the Chiefs, would you consider trading a 4th for Alexander Mattison?
We really need our running game to come alive and I don’t think extending Mattison would cost as much as he could be worth.

No. KC doesn't need RB help.

Chiefs @ Zona.
This will be a fantastic game.
Can the Chiefs new secondary stop Hollywood and Ertz? Can they contain Kyler from getting firsts via scrambling on third downs? Is Karlaftis going to play most snaps? Will Reid, Thornhill and rookie Cook play a good number of snaps together?
Cardinals defense was a bottom tier squad.
How will the new look offense attack them?

Chefs 30
Cards 20
I know it was just preseason but the Chiefs 1st team offense was efficient as they could be. I also think Patrick Lavon Mahomes II is tired of all the narrative going around that Hill made him. I think he's going to go scorched earth on everyone this year. He's petty enough to do it.

Our offense looks decent.
Like at least above average.

So apparently it wasn't just "he's got Tyreek Hill" that was making Mahomes such a great QB.

At this moment the odds of the Chiefs playing the Bills in the AFC Championship could legitimately be even money.

Chiefs using 3 tight ends is like Spinal Tap using 3 bass players.

Unless they want him to throw for 6 (or more) TDs, I have a feeling Mahomes isn't playing this entire game.

Our defense looks legit as well.
