And it wasn't good.
I thought it was dull as far as Grateful Dead shows went. Seems the band was more than ready to end the tour and in a down mood.
While I was sitting there with my girlfriend (her first show) I couldn't stop thinking it could/might be Jerry's last show. He looked terrible. as well as there were bizarre set lists.
As far as the set lists....
Not terrible but far from what I would have thought they would have wanted to play.
To go from an emotional So Many Roads to Samba and Corrina was something I would have to guess Bobby has strong regrets about - in hindsight. So many better upbeat songs they could/should have played.
I would also like to hear the reasoning of choosing Black Muddy River and Box of Rain as the final songs they played. It's as if they knew it was the end for Jerry.
Jerry's last song he sang.
P.S. I enjoyed the 2nd to last show much more than the last one.

Not sure about Black Muddy River, apparently that was Jerry's idea.
I read somewhere that Phil said that BMR was NOT going to be the last Grateful Dead some and led into Box of Rain.
Final D&C show tonight.
I'm actually going to pay to watch it.
I'm confident the last song they will play will be Not Fade Away.
Many/most people feel the band has never been as in sync/sounded better as they are now.
5 minute mark on in the video below is just one example of what I am referring to.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of too many bands that willingly called it quits when they were at their peak. Bummer.

the dead
dead and co
did I miss anything?
we will get something next summer. I don’t want to live in a world without it.

I didn't take you for a Grateful Dead fan.
I agree we will get something but can't figure out what - yet.
You missed Furthur.
Collectively, off the top of my head, I can't really think of any others.
Brent played with Bobby in Bobby and the Midnights. If that counts.
The not so funny thing is that of all the members of Dead & Company I think it's going to hit John the hardest tonight. Otiel may show it more outwardly but deep down inside I think John will be hurting. He has put so much in to it and I know what he has accomplished means a lot to him.
I'm predicting tears from John, Otiel, and Mickey.

John Mayer is an absolute guitar god.
Almost annoyingly so. A lot of his songs are him showing off instead of making something that sounds good

Nugs.net with a major fail tonight. They are going to get the crap sued out of them if people don't get refunded on their accounts.

Best hour of music I have heard in a hell of a long time! PHENOMENAL!
The shut off at about the hour and 1 minute mark but came back a few minutes later.
