1) So do you guys believe covid originated in a lab? I said it probably did very early on and got labeled a conspiracy theorist.
2) Just another thing I ended up being right about. Just by using common sense
1) No.
2) No.
Sad that you always say something stupid, then frantically search the internet for some "expert" opinions that "Prove" that you were right. All it really proves is how gullible and ignorant you are.

You think it doesn't matter that governments are funding illegal gain of function research of viruses and then desperately trying to cover it up??? The fuck is wrong with you

I am nearly done with these monkey shines. You are a fucking idiot. Your history of posts and moronic evidence is overwhelmingly in support of this position.
You clearly do not have an understanding of what "gain of function" research is.
You clearly have no idea how viruses work.
You clearly get your "proof" from idiots in search of idiots to impress.
You clearly have no understanding of how mRNA vaccines work.
You clearly no opinions of your own.
You clearly are trying to impress everyone with your "knowledge", and fail miserably.
You toss around stupid theories like "lab leaks", not stopping to think that no country would knowingly expose their own citizens to a virus this easily transmitted and this deadly.
Everyone one on this board laughs about you. Everyone here considers you an idiot and an imbecile.
Hard to imagine that nearly everyone you actually do know would feel differently.
You are, once again, a verifiable idiot.

Its a small circle jerk of crotchety old men. You've run off plenty of people who think differently than you
The lab leak theory is pretty reputable. Covid really wasn't that deadly, no more than any other virus, but was highly transmissible. Made so by, gain of function research

And yes, I know, the lab leak theory is a scarier thought to you, and that's why you don't want to accept it. Thinking a virus just mutated a little and the world dramatically overreacted to it has far less implications

The trouble with the lab leak theory is that...well, it's that there's objective evidence supporting the wet market theory, and really just conjecture and circumstance supporting lab leak.
But evidence-based arguments have never been your, ah, thing.

No Randy, you don't "know" anything. And you only assume that someone would cop to a conclusion based on emotion, what's "scarier", because you would. (It's known as "projection", you can look it up.) Some of us have spent decades making decisions based on the facts, the evidence, and that's why we lack the certainty, the devotion to a position you pretend to have, because unlike you we're adult enough to deal with the ambiguity you're too weak to tolerate.
Stop making a fool out of yourself. It's pitiful to watch.

And, to the issue at hand, if the CIA tried to stop lab leak allegations, it might be that they were acting to counter disinformation. But that part is made up too. Unless he was in the restroom at Trump's place looking at documents.

That doesn't apply to you. You are so locked in on your political preferences that you refuse to consider even obvious things if they don't align with your politics

So when the Cia tries to stop scientists from sharing their opinions based on evidence...
It's countering disinformation?

The problem some MAGAs have is sort of circular.
They often do not have - intuitively or from experience - a strong internal compass for discernment. They are uninterested in detail or nuance (it's a lot of work). They often share in Trumpland's narcissistic, paranoiac tendencies, so they think everything and everyone is out to get them, personally.
All of this results in them seeing as "obvious" things that are in fact unsupported and conclusory. They are attracted to sweeping, breezy conclusions: memes.
They are repelled by actual, rigorous research - and they do not understand that people who actually know what they're talking about will not describe their conclusions, especially in technical fields, with the same unearned certitude that the meme-lords have.
All of this keeps folks in a loop: they do not actually want to engage in the gray area (or interrogate the data or methods underlying their preferred conclusions*), so they continue to be led around by the nose from video to video.
Does this describe every Trump voter? Of course not. But it does describe those in deepest thrall with the cult.
* It's a tell that MAGAs would tell you they do their own research, when of course they don't; they find their preferred conclusions and work backwards.

What is funny is that MAGAs have zero to fear from the status quo and will be better off if they lose elections. We, on the other hand, might see the end of humanity in a boomer's lifespan. Fitting maybe.

Generally, I believe what Sparko is getting at is that a whole lot of the social safety net-type programs that MAGAs deride as "socialism"...are acutely (and disproportionately) needed in states that tend to vote red.
