So B12 title out of grasp.
I don’t care about the B12 tournament except for helping our seeding.
We won’t do anything in the tournament without McCullar so you sit him til he’s 100 percent or til we play our 13/14 seed.

Harris wasn't the problem.
We just held an opponent to under 40% shooting for the game and lost at home in a game we led by 12 in the 2nd half. No, he wasn't THE problem. Our offense was the problem and the PG runs the offense.

Self's comments don't make it sound like it is the coaches holding McCullar out.

12 pts on 4/9 shooting. 6 assists. Don't know what you expect from him. He had some turnovers early but was steady and tried to put us in our usual spots.

Not dajuans fault that hunter was missing free throws and everybody was missing shots

Watching this texas/Texas tech game with our boy Fran commentating, and he said he thinks mccullar could be done for the year

He didn't elaborate, and doesn't necessarily know what he's talking about, but he did say it in on live TV

What specifically makes you believe that?

I heard him say they are preparing as if Kevin will be out indefinitely.

If there’s actual truth to that ( he’s holding himself out to protect draft status ) boy would this true full throttle NIL season be exactly what I expected.

so, the refs didn't lost this game for us, we should've won goin away.

However, BYU coach dickface gets a Technical and complains about fouls at the 7:50 mark.

BYU doesn't get called for another foul until 25 seconds left in the game. Kansas has 9. Take away 2 for fouling on on purpose and it's still 7 in that time frame.

changes the whole momentum of the game though, and strategy.

again, the refs didn't cost us the game. Just a comment

I don't like this "mccullar is holding himself out" conversation. I don't think it's true. In the recent games he did play in, you could clearly tell he was playing injured and playing through pain

There's... A lot wrong with this team.

It's a testament to Bill that they'll be a top 4 seed.

He ran the offense fine.

He's had a lot of bad games this year. This was not one of them.

Sadly he was probably our best player tonight.

They had 3 players with 4 fouls and none of them fouled out. Can’t remember the last time I saw that. WTF? Aside from KJ, this team is soft, they may not win another game this season. Can’t shoot the three, can’t guard the three.

Hate to say it... But when it comes to the defensive glass, KJ is soft too. He just doesn't go after defensive boards at all.

LOL

it's always DHs fault.

Unbelievable.

We don't have our best player. We were outscored by 30 from 3pt.

I know Self likes to defend inside out, but you can't get outscored by 30 from 3pt and win very often.

Yep, I agree there is a lot wrong with this team and that's/it's "a testament to Bill Self".
They will be.... "A top 4 seed"?
Meaning? A 1, 2, 3, or 4 seed - or one of the top 4 teams?
Sorry, valid excuses or not, I'm not giving Self praise for a loaded pre-season #1 team - being 21-7 and being 9-6 in conference including a 29 point loss to Texas Tech, a loss at home to BYU, and loses to 3 garbage teams - Kansas State, West Virginia, and UCF.

When we rightfully blow Self for all the successes he's had, I feel if times are tough we should realize Self bears SOME responsibility - for the personnel he brought in and how they are performing. Good or bad.

Let's do a quick review on this team.
* Let's start with he has two players who are the two best players in a stacked conference. Not a team in the country that wouldn't love to have Dickinson and McCullar. Yes, McCullar has been injured but he played in 23 out of 28 games.
* He has a guy who last season was Pre-season 1st team Big 12, DPOY last season, and this season was a Pre-season Wooden top 50 player.
* He has a guy who was a 2 time first team CAA who is averaging less than 5 points a game this season.
* He has a McDonalds All-American - who is only averaging 4 points a game.
* He has a guy who was the Big 12 Most Improved Player last season. Top 50 player coming out of High School.
* He has Furphy (who last night went from super star in the 1st half to not much better than Gutter in the 2nd half) a guy who some "experts" feel will/would be a first round draft pick.

Post is perhaps deserving of a

but that's the reality of all of it in my eyes and brain.
WE are spoiled as Kansas fans. It's not much consolation but yes, I realize our not great season (this season) would be many programs best season.
