I both can and can't blame LeBron for this.
As an NBA fan, this is such bullshit.
As a father, uh, I get it.

They did it right last night. Got the whole thing over with (playing/checking in together). It was cool. I stayed up late to watch it when I otherwise may not have. Ken Griffey Jr and his dad were front row. It was historic.
It's also mind boggling that it's even a possibility. Both that LeBron is still so good that teams are willing to pay his son, and also that Bronny is good enough for it to be possible (although not good enough to be in the NBA without the circumstances, but close enough that it isn't a total clownshow and was considered reasonable to the Lakers for the energy boost is has provided LeBron).
And, they won. If they lost, and wasted 3min on Bronny for historical purposes it starts this whole thing off on the wrong foot and the media narrative could turn on them in a hurry.
Also, JJ is going to be an awesome coach. He has a great feel for the game and I think his philosophy is perfect for the NBA.

And then just sent him straight to G League to get the Red Claws attendance up.

maybe even play some chicken with it too...like, keep him on the G-league team until they match up with the Lakers, then activate him, and check him in but only as soon as Lebron checks out, then pull him as soon as Lebron checks back in, and so on...
He actually played well, minus shooting. And several of the 3s were late in the game or late in shot clock.
I think how they are using him makes sense. Their bench is awful, and young/inexperienced. Westbrook played about 6 min a half running the team, and then about 5min per half with the starters. He'll get most of his shots up with the bench guys, but when he was in with the main guys he deferred a lot more than he has at times in the past. Just get the ball to jokic and play off him, which with his cutting ability should work fairly well (if he can finish it at the rim).
Denver doesn't have much shooting. I am not sure I think they can win it all with only 3 or 4 guys capable of hitting 3s consistently.
Denver was sloppy last night. Lots of silly turnovers. OKC played hungry and aggressive. They are going to be really good (again).

2-10 shooting.
Mostly useless stat but i'll throw it in there because it's so pronounced : worst +/- of any player in the game.
