It takes a lot to bring out the mean in me these days. When I was younger, it was always just under the surface, but the last ten years have been a different story.
Yes, it is well-established that disagreeing with the prevailing opinion around here elicits pushback. I would argue that there is a clear line between pushback and abusiveness.
Some people, like you and Overlander, are habitual line-steppers, whether you are willing to admit it or not.

You aren't wrong. They do regularly resort to petty name calling and bullying, nobody else on the entire board really does. Just think what a sad place the personal lives of kutrad and overlander must be in, if they have nothing better to do than that.
And it also means they have nothing of substance to say, when they do that. Don't waste your energy on it
