"If youre too old to reasonably run a company.....youre too old to run the country."
And yet, despite all your whining to the contrary, painfully absent any specificity about which of his policies you have a problem with, there seems to be a large number of people who think that no president since LBJ has accomplished as much legislatively as Biden did, in only his first two years.

id say wearing diapers (trump) or needing someone to remind you where you are (Biden) makes you too old.
If youre too old to reasonably run a company.....youre too old to run the country.
Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett is 92. Joe Biden will be 82 in Nov '24. In the 10 years since June 2013 when Buffett was 82, the market cap, i.e., total value, of Berkshire has increased from ~ $415 billion dollars to 1 trillion 116 billion dollars, or by 2.7 times.
I wonder if the shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway agree with you that someone who is 82 is
"too old to reasonably run a country"?
wealth begets wealth.
to answer youre question i would absolutely not vote for Warren Buffett to be president.
If youre insistent .....you found 1 person out of....how many over 80? does the exception prove the rule?
There are a lot (define "a lot" as you please - but more than 1) of competent people who are over 80, are of sound mind, and run successful businesses.
Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I think/feel we should have an 80 year old President but there are examples of people over the age of 80 who are in better physical and mental shape running successful businesses than many people in their 70s and 60s.

If your investments (and net worth) were to lose money because prices came down - would you be cool with that?
To me it's a double edged sword. Or maybe I should say it's a case of I'm not sure which is the lesser of two evils.

you guys got me...youre right. Theres definitely no link between advanced age and cognitive decline.
Joe Biden is absolutely perfect in every way. I hope he's president until he's 137.

we are stuck in small vicious cycle. the only person on the planet uncle joe could have beaten in 2020 was dt. now the only person uncle joe could beat in 24 is dt. and the only person dt could beat in 24 is uncle joe.
Ì squarely lay the blame on the liberal democrats. if dt would have won in 20 we would be on our way out of this cycle. we would be looking at two fresh faces for 24. thanks demonrat muthaphucquers.

There's more to the Presidency than policy. Setting the political agenda is more a result of what ends up being popular in the primaries - you campaign on something, and if it's popular enough, you win and that becomes the agenda. But that's moreso just a side effect of Democracy.
You're the top representative of the country. How you conduct yourself sets the tone for the country, to some extent. Your ability to think broadly, logically, and to trust others when necessary matters. I mean, that's why it's the Chief Executive.
Biden hasn't fallen flat in that area. And he's way better than Trump. But the gaffes - they aren't new, but they're getting worse. He comes across with emotional appeal over facts and regularly stretches the truth. And the speaking - it's not the stutter he:s always had that's the problem, it's the slurring and unintelligible speaking that sounds like someone who has had a stroke.
I think people like Obama and Reagan are the type that you can say even if you disagree with their policy, you're comfortable with them representing our country. I don't think that way of Biden. And again, I say this as someone who caucused for him in Iowa in 08.

Like I've said previously, I wish Biden was younger, too. But, he isn't. And, because it's an ~ 99% certainty, baring something unforeseen, he will be the democratic nominee, and he and the democratic party share nearly the same priorities I do, what would you have me do, instead?
Not vote? No way.
Sen. Warnock: "A vote is a kind of prayer for the world we desire".
Make a
gesture vote for a third party candidate that has no realistic chance of winning to make myself feel better? Too selfish. Because, by not voting for Biden, it would increase the likelihood that Trump, or DeSantis, or another republican I have very little in common with would win, and I couldn't live with myself if I played any part in that.
For reference, see the 2000 presidential election where liberal Ralph Nader received > 97,000 votes. Al Gore "lost" Florida by 537 votes after the SCOTUS, by a 5 to 4 ruling, overturned a ruling by the Florida Supreme Court.

Tell me/us, who said/claimed there is no link between advanced age and cognitive decline?
Who said/claimed they think/know Biden is perfect in every way?
Here is a probably poor but I feel applicable analogy....
People can smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day for 50 years and never get lung cancer.
Some people have never smoked a cigarette in their life and get lung cancer.
Should I make a definitive statement saying people who smoke cigarettes will get lung cancer and people who don't smoke cigarettes won't?
You are the one who made statements such as most of DC is a nursing home. That's not true. At all.
You said that our last two Presidents have been too old to serve as head of the country - one because he wears diapers. Does/did he wear diapers? Do you know that for a fact? Even if he does/did, you feel if someone wears diapers that makes them too old to be President?
Off the top of my head I'm going to ask you, was Tony Romo too old to play QB when he was in his late 20s and early 30s?

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Gutter.
Last night when I saw all the words TDub put in our mouths in order to construct a straw man he could easily knock down rather than, as I've asked on multiple occasions before, give us a/the reason(s) other than age he so vociferously vilifies Biden, I was all meh*.
*meh

Wrong bored but I disagree with Ferals take on voting.
I have voted for my father in two elections. I am old enough now that I can vote for myself which I may do for the next election if the two candidates are the current front runners.

Actually, the best bet we had for "two fresh faces for 24" was if Senate republicans had taken the
golden opportunity they had to convict a defeated Trump on his second impeachment. So, blame them.
