If there was potential for a divisive angle, it’s whether social conservatives would label him a sinner.

Hes smart, hes calm, he has a thoughtfulness behind his answers that i think help people believe him and respect him. He doesnt have a hair trigger temper like some, he talks to you he doesnt yell at you (bernie) or preach at you (bernie, warren, trump). Hes young enough to bring in some of that crowd. Hes served in the military.

Hes reasonable enough to understand that there has to be a middle ground on some issues. He will be able to garner some of those middle voters. Hes not extreme one way or another and hes not chasing an extreme base as his strategy. Most people can find SOMETHING to like about him even if they dont agree with him.


And he wont win because the bernie and the warrens will cast him as too conservative and not progressive enough and he will lose votes.

And yea some far rights will hate him because hes gay. So what, he doesnt need those votes, they were never gonna for him anyway. I think thats a fairly small part of the populace. I think he faces as much threat from inside his party as out.

I live in a fairly red area and most people i know dont hate pete. They hate everyone else on that side, but for some reason not pete.

A few, whose primary concern is attention rather than leadership, would care, but almost no one in the electorate would.

In many instances I'm equally as frightened by people who are scared of people who pray.

I don't pray or go to church, but I have no problem with people who choose to be religious and pray.

Who and what are you praying to?
Of course I could be wrong but I strongly feel there is no God as God is imagined to most who believe in God.
If praying to God works for you and doesn't harm yourself or anyone else in the process - fantastic.
Religion is often cult like to me and many/most cults often/usually scare the shit out of me.
Makes me feel/realize how easily people can be (and are) brainwashed.

I think at this point Pete's sexual orientation has helped him more than hurt him in this race.

I also think his chances are underrated. If I'm him I am heaping praise on Amy Klobuchar rather than sparring with her on Tuesday and on the campaign trail. Would do the same with Yang. They've got about 10% combined - second choices will decide Iowa. And winning will beget winning after that.
