It’s a terrible call in that situation instead of a play with better conversion rate when you only need 2 yards.
I don't disagree if you are going to punt, as they did. I thought they were going on 4th and 2 for sure.
Play calling a problem lately.

Amazing how many different ways the opposition can shit their pants vs. KC late in games.
it’s hilarious
all the talk is how lucky the Chiefs are, or how fraudulent they might be…but they’re still winning! if they’re frauds and just lucky, what does that say about the rest of the league?

I’m hoping Grimey will be looking for a job next week. Maybe they can tap into his singular genius.

The situation changes with under 2 minutes remaining.
"Had the clock been running at the snap, then by rule an illegal shift would convert to a false start," a league spokesman said, via The Athletic. "Since the clock was stopped (spike on the second-down play), an illegal shift is a live ball foul."
So the ref calling the false start that is sending opposing fans into apoplectic fits basically forgot that and was overruled by the rest of the crew.

As soon as another team starts winning A LOT, the winning about how it is all rigged will jump to the next team.
This is where we are as a people.

just saw a stat that the Chiefs have won 14 straight 1-possession games
that doesn’t strike me as luck

Exactly, completely rigged.
It has to be, what other explanation could there possibly be?

There are certain things that Bill Self is just better at coaching than every coach he faces. Inbounds plays, lobs, end of game scenarios.
Same with the Chiefs. They are simply better at executing to their full capability in clutch, end of game, gotta have it moments than their opponent. They practice them all regularly and there is no confusion as to what their assignment is. And because of their success for this many yconsecutive years, they have had more opportunities to test themselves in these high pressure situations. They are better prepared AND get more in-game reps.
The Chiefs have had a few games here and there where they fail to make the play and they lose. But it's a tiny percentage of their total chances.
Another factor is that the Chiefs find themselves under a massive microscope. The Eagles scored what should be a ridiculously controversial TD in the 1st half tonight. They were trying to run the tush push for a 1/2 yard TD and the center didn't hike the ball when the rest of the line started going. No call on a blatant false start that due to being right near the goal line had all eyes on the ball and the line.
It wasn't even mentioned in the halftime discussion of the game or by the in-game announcers when the 2nd half started and they mentioned the TD. There is NO CHANCE that it wasn't mentioned if it was KC. Every play and call is under a microscope right now. Hundreds of people implode all over social media with every remotely questionable play or call.

^^^
The energy invested in the public stoning of the Chiefs on social media every time they win a close game, is something to see. That no call on the Eagle's play was bizarre. I was yelling at the screen for the Raven's coach to throw a protest flag, feeling like I was being gaslighted. Hard to imagine how the Lynch mob* of public opinion would have handled it if, like you said, "it was KC".
It's time to admit that unless or until Travis & Taylor disavow Bud Lite, the deep state, LGBDQ rights, come out strongly against DEI, and break up, we'll never have nice things.
Again.
*Where does the meaning of Lynch come from?
The name Lynch, with its origins in England, holds meaning as Descendant of the Mariner. This name comes from the Old English word hlinc, which denoted a hill or mound, often serving as a navigational marker for seafarers.
What is a mob in British slang?
A large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence. The word is recorded from the late 17th century and is an abbreviation of the archaic mobile, short for Latin mobile vulgus 'excitable crowd'.

Hats off to anyone who wonders "I wonder where that came from" and then goes out and looks it up instead of typing "where did this come from" leaving it up to others to go look up.
Intellectual curiosity rules.

Diontae Johnson in 5 games with the Ravens:
• 5 targets
• 1 catch
• 6 yards
KC definitely traded for the right elite WR in Hopkins.

Didn't know Chris was so articulate.
"...We don't need a week-four bye..."

"3 games in a 10 day span".
Yea, Chris, it's some bullshit.

I saw something that seemed kinda crazy the other day - as of a week or two ago, the Chiefs had played fifty games in a 22-calendar-month period.

Chris Jones is hilarious.
Did you hear him on the New Heights podcast talking about his dick popping out in his combine 40?

Rich Eisen weighs in on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ latest win by the thinnest (luckiest??) of margins.
