Ok, you’re not taking up for him. But you’re just pointing out that he’s right a lot. And not afraid to call things out. And you’re glossing over a hideous, deranged grift in finding these silver linings.

I've never even really listened to Alex Jones. And have never brought him up on this board. In case you can't read, my statement word for word began as

Yep. Then the modern democrat party has modeled their platforms takeover of America on the tactics Hitler used to amass his followers.

Indoctrinate the youth, brainwash the masses through media, and take away guns

Which is why an intelligent society who studies history will never surrender their rights and tools to defend themselves if they've studied history. Even for "the children's safety"

Because it's the same identical message and tactic that hitler used

CIA running drugs - Eh, they have been making movies about CIA involvement in drug running for decades. The CIA first started facing charges of drug running in the late 1940s.

Trump winning in 2016 when polls had a landslide for Dowdy the Clown - Blind squirrel meets acorn

Government monitoring of phone and computer - Duh, has been happening as long as phones and law enforcement have both existed

Government coverup of UFOs - Duh, that has been widely speculated for nearly 50 years

Epstein and Pedo Island - Were there any people who didn't think that Epstein was a pedo and surprised by what he did? That was common knowledge at least on the East Coast since the late 80s-early 90s.

Existence of FEMA camps - FEMA camps? How exactly was he right about that?

Government use of technology to modify weather patterns - Another oldie but goodies as Government involvement in the weather has been an openly discussed thing since the 1940s. They have well established laws and databases if you want to read about some. https://libguides.library.noaa.gov/weat ... 0occurring. It doesn't appear that Alex Jones has stumbled upon some narrowly held belief on that one, either.
So, he was right?
So this is a trusted and unimpeachable source! This is great, you have information that much of the public either is not aware of, or does not believe.

You have a strategic advantage now!

As a leader you have a responsibility to your staff and your students to prepare and plan for this, to make any transitions simple and smooth. Have you been in the forefront of letting other department heads and the chancellor and others within the administration know this is coming? Did you learn any lessons from the last shutdown that informed your planning for this shutdown? As the head of a household what plans have you made to minimize the impact on your day to day life?

You have a whole month to work this out if you haven't finished your plans. Plenty of time to bring faculty and students up to date on your contingency plans.

I never said he was unimpeachable. I did say that he has been right more often than not. Does that mean I'd bet my life on his word? No. Does it mean I trust him more than any other source or combination of sources? No. Does it mean that I would factor his insights into my decision-making rather than just trusting the word of the government outright? Absolutely.

So you prepared your personal safe space for the zombie apocalypse, but you've done nothing to prepare your workplace or your community for the coming shutdown? Have you even notified the rest of the leadership team at your college that you believe this is coming? If you believe this is coming, don't you have a responsibility to try to mitigate it for your staff and students as well?

Do you believe this is coming in October or were you just recklessly spouting off what you think is likely to be bullshit?
